I didn't have much of a peaceful sleep on a bench last night. But I still don't have much to have nights at the hotel and have food, I haven't eaten much in a few days. Please if you can donate what you can so I don't collapse in the heat again, I was close to death yesterday. Goal is $600!!!

There are other versions of the myth, some where her children are killed accidentally in a failed bid at immortality. Some where it is the people of Corinth who kill her children. Regardless, it is obvious that her husband blames her for their deaths. (According to Diodorus the people thought Jason "suffered only what was just") When he seeks to punish her, she does not flee as a mortal woman but is carried away on a divine golden chariot pulled by dragons.
After her flight from Corinth to Thebes, she heals Heracles of the madness that led him to kill his children. A divine curse is lifted through divine aid. Heracles was witness to the godsworn oaths Jason made to Medea, and had promised to uphold the oaths as mediator. Even once cured, he can offer nothing more than temporary refuge to Medea. I wonder what words these friends who met an ocean away said to each other. Who else could understand their pain?

try to avoid eating raw vegetables, scrub fruit with a produce brush and rinse thoroughly with water. again, don't bother with premade greens or bagged salads. if you buy lettuce, remove the outer 2-3 layers of leaves.
there are UNVERIFIED rumors that the greens have been linked to a company that sources to taco bell. some locations have been actively pulling fresh ingredients like lettuce, avocado, and pico de gallo to mitigate the threat, so i would avoid any products from them just in case. considering how vast supply chains are, i'd be wary of any fast food greens in general for now.
we should retire the word "relate" and replace it with "connect" when it comes to the relationship between audience member and fictional character. a character being relatable implies some of their personality and/or experiences match yours. a character being connect-able means audiences will find a way to understand and feel for their struggles (internal or external) even when they haven't experienced them themselves. this is especially relevant when it comes to marginalized characters. a character not being relatable to some audience members does not mean they can't be connect-able and the laser focus on relatability as a selling point for a character will only make it so stories with protagonists who are not white/cishet/western/etc will get less visibility because audiences assume that if they can't relate to them then they won't be able to care and root for them.

Maybe your queer elders fictional or otherwise were also influenced by the biases and contradictions of their own circumstances, time and place, and I am no more beholden to their ideas and ways of doing things than I am to any other form of tradition trying to constrain me.

I do actually talk about queerness through the Indian context a fair bit, is the thing. But I'm not trying to promote my work right now, I'm trying to emphasize the importance of seeking out perspectives that aren't your own and putting in the effort to engage with others whose experiences are different from yours without presuming a place of authority for knowing what the Cafe Riots were.
just saw a pigeon doing the puffed up courtship dance thing to another pigeon, and as he was strutting around he suddenly stopped for a split second to do a very brief preen-peck at his own side, then returned to the strutting around. and i surprised myself by instantly losing respect for the male pigeon in that moment, like come on man i appreciate you had an itch or whatever but how is she supposed to feel special when you're getting distracted by bullshit like that? which on reflection i don't endorse, i mean those are pretty harsh dating norms i'm imposing on these pigeons, from a total outsider perspective, for no reason. probably not all girl pigeons are as uptight about that sort of thing as i would apparently be if i was a girl pigeon, maybe she even found it endearing who knows, i don't know her. it's none of my business really. sorry pigeons.

Clerk: Is Felix Martinez a legal resident of this county? Me: He's a legal cat. Clerk: Sir, if the name matches our records, he needs to appear or file an exemption. Me: He can't file anything.
