Pictish drip was insane. Look at this choker:
The Whitecleuch Chain, it was found damaged in Lankshire, outside of known Pict inhabited lands but probably brought there through trade. We know it is Pictish because it features a penannular Pictish closure. It is actually a heavy solid silver chain and not a torc, though there is evidence the Picts wore torcs like other Celtic people, they seemed to be fond of chain style necklaces. This one was probably for ceremonial purposes and not everyday wear because it is so heavy. But like. Let’s imagine the sexiest chief in Pictland in 400 AD wearing this HUGE solid silver chain choker that you might see on the red carpet today.
