Currently I am doing a Graduate Artist Residency at London Centre for Book Arts and I’ve just finished this small concertina book titled ‘Pocket Sunset’. Inside is a gradient printed using a F.A.G Proofing Press and the cover is book cloth with two different gold foils using a PräGnant press for foil blocking. A simple idea kept simple (which wasn’t easy!).

Milton Avery (American, 1885-1965), Fishing by the Sea, 1944. Gouache and pencil on paper, 56.5 x 78.7 cm.
What a great discovery - painting by Milton Avery (1944).Â
Girls #3
Girls is a project made up of a series of illustrations that combine playful image-making and the female form / character. This image (#3) looks at capturing a young Japanese women with focus on her styled hair.
New work by Lizzie Heath, a recent BA Illustration graduate from Camberwell College of Arts, and a current artist-in-residence at LCBA.
Today I had the afternoon off so I strolled through China Town and did some sketching. I noticed for the first time the back alleys in China Town and found Lo’s Noodle Factory (top image).Â

An Exhibition for Nepal by Gaurab Thakali and Tom Delion. It was a beautiful exhibition of Photography and Print based work from their travels to Nepal.Â
Bambino English Playschool Hong Kong, 2015
The architecture in Hong Kong is so captivating - this one is of all the fans commonly seen on the outside of the buildings. I really like how old and rundown everything looks as it gives a very humbling atmosphere to the island.Â
I took this photo whilst on a moving tram in Hong Kong. I’m Super please with how it came out - the colours and composition are great. I didn’t have to do any post-production editing too.
For any locals/regulars - its along Hennessy Road from Causeway Bay towards Central at some point.Â
I've been doing a bit of monotype printmaking at the old London Centre for Book Arts. Check out these beauties - illustrations of imaginary gardens and green house (loosely inspired by Kew Gardens)
A quick sketch from when I was in a taxi going over the flyover (in a taxi) by Happy Valley Racecourse, Hong Kong
I finally bought a light box and I've been tracing over some character sketches with pen and ink. I really wanted to keep the loose line work that I love in the quick sketches so the lightbox has worked a charm! These are some characters from a comic I'm working on ^_^
Earlier this week I was over at London Centre for Book Arts in Hackney, East London, having fun creating these beautiful images! The top image is of fashionable girls from memory/imagination, middle image is of a reoccurring female character from one of my fantasy stories, and bottom image is of luxuriously curly hair. All of these images are monoprinted - a generic term used for any printing technique that only allows for one print to be taken.
I enjoy being in the print workshops and creating images whilst at the printing press. I think I will do a little relief printing with Lino next time! I have been quite inspired by MC Escher’s woodcuts on display at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London.
SOMETHING I’m working on atm.Â
Images of architecture around London; intrigued by graphic forms and repetition.
Sorry I am not applying. I am asking on behalf of a friend who is interested. Unfortunately I do not have any work pieces. Thank you very much for the information. It is very helpful! :D
That's okay! I wish your friend all the best
