BIG/LITTLE WEEK!

Last week was big/ little week for my service sorority.  My little, who was a mystery at the time decorated my room all week long, leaving me lots of treats and love!! It was awesome coming home from class and seeing the craziness that my little had created! I absolutely love my little and I appreciate all of the hard work she put into decorating my room!!

This past weekend UD had its massive fundraiser for the B+ foundation.  Students from all different types of organizations came to the big bob to participate in UDance, an all day dance marathon.  Throughout the semester all of the organizations on campus, greek sororities, fraternities,  RSO's and even teams of students in the dorms have been fundraising for this event.  My friends and I went with Gamma Sigma Sigma, the service sorority here on campus.  It was an absolute blast! There was lots of food, dancing and singing. This year the UD community raised over 850,000 dollars, significantly blowing our total from last year out of the water! It was an awesome student run event, that has a great cause and I can't wait to become more involved next year.

SIDE SHOW ULTIMATE!!

So far this season the women's ultimate frisbee team has already played in two tournaments! This past weekend we played in the A team's home tournament.  More than 15 teams came to play in the tournament, Towson, Vermont, Harvard, Yale, Vermont, West Chester and many more all showed up early Saturday morning ready for a weekend of ultimate.  As a team we improved tremendously throughout the weekend, although the scores didn't always end in our favor, most of our games were nail biters! I have no shame in saying that my entire body was sore monday morning! It has been a great start to our season and I can't wait for what is still to come!  GO ULTIMATE!

Tonight my service sorority Gamma Sigma Sigma inducted 90 new members into the Beta Kappa class! My friends and I are more than thrilled to welcome new sisters into the family!!! I can't wait to meet all of the new pledges and serve the community with them!

Over break my sister and I have been trying to keep ourselves busy.  With lots of our friends studying abroad this winter, we have found it pretty easy to lose ourselves on Facebook, jealously clicking through their picture for hours!  To try and avoid this and knowing that our chance to take an adventure like theirs is in the near future, we have been working at Rolly Pollies.  Both bringing in some money and keeping us off of Facebook.  The video above is our facilities new promotional video.  Rolly Pollies is an awesome kids gym, with classes, birthday parties and lots of craziness!!

ALL OF THE SNOW! What a way to end the semester!

This semester my friends and I pledged the service sorority here at UD.  Gamma Sigma Sigma is an all girls service RSO that has all the benefits of being in a sorority (letters, bigs, FUN) without having to pay crazy expensive dues.  As a sister I am required to do 25 hours of service a semester.  It seems like a lot but the projects are always super fun! This past semester I went to AI Dupont and played with children in the hospital, I worked a haunted house and even did some tutoring.  The sorority is a blast and I am so excited to officially be a sister!
