I'm crying.
Sadie Adler + smiling
Adrien: What does take out mean?
Nino: Food
Alya: Date
Marinette: Murder
Adrien & Nino & Alya:
Marinette: It can be all three if youāre bold enough
Marinette: have you ever seen something so beautiful you started crying?
Adrien: only every time I look at you
Marinette: ...
Marinette: well now I feel embarrassed about tearing up over this perfectly circular pancake I made.
I may be looking too deep into this, but after watching Marinette and Adrien getting stuck behind automatic doors and having a few laughs, it occurred to me that this could be taken as symbolism to their current friendship status.Ā
Automatic sliding doors are simple; easy to get through. Everyone can do it. Why is it so hard for them to pass by, other than being a comedic scene from the special?
Itās because theyāre stuck in a limbo. Their friendship isnāt progressing into something more because Marinette is trying tooĀ hard to be good enough. Waves of failed attempts to confess, impress, and making elaborate plans to grab Adrienās attention, showing him her affections that she likes him as more than a friend but being unsuccessful.
Even though sheĀ does have his attention, more often than not, she just needs to tell him without backtracking and slamming into that barrier face first to repeat the process all over again.Ā Ā
She jumps the gun and puts her all into letting Adrien know how she feels, full throttle; while being super anxious, overthinking, tense, and ready to sprint headlong into something that would be easy to get through, if she just took a step back and breathed. To just go with the flow and let it happen.
Meanwhile, Adrien is there watching her attempts, being polite and concerned for her when she slips up, ready to catch her without thinking. Weāve seen in the show that when she calms down and doesnāt let her worries plague her, (the what-ifs and what could happens)Ā that the doors to success of what she wants to achieve open and let her move forward. But if she keeps up with this constant cycleā¦
ā¦they might both get stuck in an endless loop of opportunities opening and closing on them.Ā
excuse me officer i would like to report a murder
Everyoneās talked about how Marinette should have ran afterĀ Adrien after he gave up his Miraculous in the New York Special and like hugged him or something but consider Marinette tackling him and beating the shit out of him until he takes back his miraculous
and then
after a huge beat down
She pulls away and Adrien looks into her eyes like,Ā āMarinette?ā
And Marinette fucking bolts because she just beat up Parisās most famous model, her crush, and Chat Noir.
jeez hawkmoth
Marinette: why is Chat Noir always HERE? Doesnāt he have a home to go back to?
Alya: well, partially related, but did you know that cats mostly domesticated themselves? They saw that mice congregated around human grain and evolved to be more social with humans for hunting purposes
Marinette: *looks at mouse miraculous*
Marinette: *realizes she lives above a bakery with lots of grains*
Marinette: ah
How it feels to read a really good fic and find the author has dozens more like itĀ
The best thing about this is that the person from whom I reblogged this, @emletish-fish , is THAT author for me

Once when the gaang visits the Fire Nation, theyāre all just on the side of too tipsy when Zuko leans in with the most grave expression imaginable.
āAang,ā Zuko says, āThis has been⦠haunting meā¦. Why did your friends need to suck on those frogs?ā
And Aang just gasps, and does not explain the frogs, because he has suddenly remembered that Miyuki is still wanted by the Fire Nation and that just wonāt do.Ā So Aang demands that Zuko pardon Miyuki for her crimes, which then gets the rest of the gaang to dogpile on and also demand justice for Miyuki.Ā
Zuko is willing to hear him out.Ā
ā¦Zuko is significantly less willing to hear him out when Aang mentions that Miyuki is a cat.
(Zuko finds it difficult to believe that a cat is legitimately wanted by the Fire Nation)
But because they are all the worst, he relents and they all drunkenly stumble down to go find the records of Miyukiās crimes and write her up a pardon, much to the chagrin of the night-shift archivist.
Zuko, staring blankly at Miyukiās rap sheet:
The gaang:
Zuko:
Zuko: I donāt ā¦. I donāt think I can pardon thisā¦
Sokka: It canāt be that bad! Let me see-
Sokka:
Zuko: You see what I mean?

Just to clarify a couple things:
āPost-menopauseā means a woman over 45 who has not had a period for over a year and is therefore through menopause.
If you are post-menopause and experience any vaginal bleeding, even a small amount, see a doctor and get it checked out.
There are other causes of bleeding, including polyps and changes to the uterine lining after menopause due to hormonal changes, which are the most common reasons. BUT cancer is a possible cause, and the earlier cancer is found, the better. Endometrial cancer is extremely dangerous because there is no way to screen for it, so it often advances before itās found, which, like pancreatic cancer, makes it so deadly.
Here at the end of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, I remind yāall that this is true of all gynecologic cancers. The symptoms are fairly vague for all of them, and aside from cervical cancer, thereās no reliable screening.
But unusual bleeding (or if your period stops when youāre not pregnant or old enough for menopause, which is how mine presented) is something you need to have checked out no matter your age. Especially if itās in combination with bloating or back/pelvic pain. These can be signs of significant health problems, not just some discomfort you need to push through.
My mum experienced post-menopausal bleeding in her 70s, and it was fallopian tube cancer (which is almost NEVER caught as early as hers was). She a radical hysterectomy and chemotherapy. Sheās considered successfully treated but still has to have routine bloodwork.
Post-menopausal bleeding is not normal and this is something that warrants further education.
So to summarize, āAny unexpected change in your period means you should go to your doctorā ?

Adrien: So whatās Marinetteās type?
Alya: Blond, smart, talented, kind, multilingual, not too tall, oblivious, green-eyed, good sense of humor, musician.
Adrien: Sounds kind of like me. Too bad weāre just friends.
Alya: Did I mention oblivious?
Adrien: Yeah, why?
Alya: Nothing, just making sure.
