The Japanese (and Germans, and Norwegians) who are currently touring the US for the World Cup are quite possibly the most wholesome thing.

Every post is like "Ranch dressing? Why do we not have this in Europe?" or "We took a tube down the river. This is amazing!" or "It's just like the movies, we're in Nashville and it's like American TV!"

And America has fallen in love with them all.

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance

2.It would be so fucking funny

Ain’t this the third or fourth time he’s been shot at? I think he might know how to keep a level head at this point. Also some people are just terrible shots.

When Trump actually got shot the first thing he did was stand up, get out of Secret Service cover as much as he could, raise his fist to the air and yell "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

There's a lot of stuff that I think could be "staged" a la intelligence, CIA, etc.

I think they would tell Trump absolutely zero % of those plans. The man cannot keep his mouth shut on anything that involves him.

So even if it was a "fake" assassination, I don't think Trump knew it was fake.

Fingers crossed Danny is a red herring because the other typewritten letter that showed up? Tessa's letter about being sick with the ring that Vic gave Eliot.

I think Griffin is sending the typewritten letters.

I think Griffin might be causing some problems.

And my pet theory is that Claire is Griffin's daughter and the whole thing blows up in the last episode - the wedding. I think that's the "countdown" KC referred to.

These people really are so desperate to protect minority communities that they are willing to suppress any and all news regarding minority groups attacking the native population of these countries.

And maybe they haven't learned from America but doing this tends to have the opposite result. And it tends to make people more discriminatory. Because it looks to them like you're defending them all of them even the person who did it. And given the history of European countries protecting grooming gangs......... At this point they're positive that that's exactly what you're doing.

They rioted in Belfast overnight because of this, btw. They smashed up foreign businesses and burned down houses where "migrants" were being housed. When the police response is 10 times greater than it was for any of the rape gangs or other migrant crimes, it will lead to more riots. The UK civil war may have just begun.

A good point I've seen made is that Troubles only really ended in the late '90s (officially '98). There are still people who were in militias and paramilitaries.

There are living Irish in their 40s that likely participated as teens. It's not hard for them to pick up those skills and manage another insurgency.
