Just know that I wanted to jump out of a freaking window while vodskimming for today's books (and new versions of July 7th's books)
For specifically The White Banquet, I've included the initial version of the book because there's actually a part missing from the second version that isn't in the initial version. If the book gets amended in the future (for a third time) then I'll see what I'll do. But for now that's the only book which I will keep its first version on here. For any others, you can dm me or send me an ask.
I'll also mention the above in my change log later o7

2nd version of the book:
During this great war between Eternal Summer and Eternal Storms, the kingdom faced a great problem. When our great protectors were not strong enough, Storm Ravens summoned storm clouds and corrupted the lands and our great riders.
To resolve this problem, our great rulers researched a plan.
They knew that iron was important in the creation of new rituals, drinking rogue mana before it became overwhelming and too much for the caster.
So, with the help of our great forgers, they created chins and suits of armor made of enriched iron.
The iron drank away mana, absorbed spells and helped protect our citizens from any corrupted riders until our powerful protectors could deal with the problem.
Although, Dragon Riders should be careful, as wearing iron can slow mana regeneration and cause destruction to your spells.
We are eternally grateful to our forgers and our Dragon Riders in keeping our kingdom safe from the Storm Ravens.

2nd version of the book:
Mana was not only power. It was memory. This phrase is often used by The Crypt of the Dead. Up north contained a crypt like no other, it was filled with ghosts of the fallen.
Everyone knew that every spell left an imprint on the world. Nature forgot nothing, and the Keepers of the Crypt of the Dead knew that these echoes were peaceful remains of one’s mana and not something to destroy or be scared about.
And so when the ghosts reached out with dead hands, the keepers let themselves be touched.
And when a ghost screamed, a Keeper sang.
And when a location is touched with so much magic, the ghosts become visible, they become more than an imprint.
They become memories.
So The Crypt of the Dead, The Dragon Crypt and even parts of the great Dragon Academy, were gifted with these memories.

2nd version of the book:
The date of this book reads 40ish years ago from the current date. The cover looks new and the spine of the book has yet to be cracked.
The White Banquet was meant to be a remembrance.
Each year, the royals invited families of the kingdom to the southern border. A church’s garden dedicated to the fallen, everything made of silver to remember the cleaning light of the Shield Tower that saved us.
Where silver cloth covered endless tables and silver church bells rang for Ashfall. The day the Capital nearly drowned in Corruption until Dragon Riders of legend tore the sky open and saved it.
That year, the church bells never finished ringing.
Storm Ravens descended from the clouds, wings flashing with stolen lightning. They struch the Shield Tower first. Its crystal cracked, and across the banquet field the air turned sick and grey.
Corruptoin spread faster than screams.
Silver tablecloths blackened. Flowers rotted in their vases. Families turned in on each other, clawing at faces. Friends forgot each other’s names and lunged with broken knives. The feast became a nightmare of familiar faces made monstrous.
Then the King mounted his dragon.
His daughter called after him, but he did not look back. Crown bright, dragon bleeding sunlight, he flew alone toward the swarm.
One against hundreds.
They vanished into the desert storm.
Then the horizon became a second sun.
When the light faded, the Storm Ravens were gone, and so was the King.
Leaving only a few children and the new Summer Queen behind. Her mission was made clear as the new open sky above her.
It’s time to bring back the Dragon Riders.

The book starts with a small author’s note.
The date is marked: The anniversary of Ashfall, the White Banquet.
Author’s Note:
This book is dedicated to the fallen and to the Dragon Riders of legend.
Dragon Riders were not always only gossip and legend. Dragons did not once bond only with the trusted Royals. Dragon Riders were heroes, protectors of peace across the Summer Kingdom.
The Queen of the Summer kingdom stood with her bestfriend, Lunar, at the top of the tallest tower in the palace of The Captial.
She looked down at the chaos and destruction below. Dragon Riders across the kingdom were casting impossible feats of magic. Giant trees rose from the ground. Green pulses of life struck against corruption.
Great blasts of energy of all kinds of mana blasting the corruption away, buying precious time.
The Queen hated staying out of the fight. Everyone else was risking their lives while she stood above them.
Lunar gently grabbed their shoulders. “You are needed here. Only you can keep the passage open for the evacuation”
“I can’t just do nothing,” The Queen replied.
But the Queen knew she could not join them. We were losing, the Dragon Riders were being consumed by the dark storm one by one, while The Storm Ravens circled abve the Capital like demons in the night.
They had to get people to safety.
The battle was nearly over. No wood, fire, ice, wind, sun or any other magic could hold back the terrifying power of the Storm Ravens.
They had lost.
But then one brave Dragon Rider, with the help of forty friends, tought their way out of the city. There was only one final hope, the Shield Tower.
Never truly completed in time, the Shield Tower stood outside the city like a hopeless beacon. Its shield had faltered without a true power source long before the multi-day battle reached its end.
Each rider blocked the corruption with their life, allowing the next to continue forward.
Until only one Dragon Rider remained.
Their dragon poured its life into the Shield Tower with one final breath, and a powerful light shone across the sky.
They were saved.
The storm was pushed back. The corruption retreated.
The Queen could not believe her eyes, she turned and hugged Lunar, and together they wept silver tears.

Once upon a time, a little dragon rider, Jill, guarded a village of painted houses and cherry trees.
One cloudy day, a Storm Raven landed on the well and croaked, “I am your friend, Give me your lanterns and I will make the night safe.”
But the Storm Ravens tells pretty lies.
Jill saw its shadow stealing the light from every window. So they climbed onto their dragon and shouted, “Evil do not get to hid behind nice words!”
The dragon puffed a bright golden flame, and the Storm Raven squawked away.
This is sooo /nm chill just silly minecraft lore conversations, and I love seeing the discussions and debates about tf!Juniper and many others.
But, I do want to say I think people misinterupt Juniper not sharing information about her identity as pure hypocracy on her end, I think that neglects the fact that her position and her identity is dangerous. Knowing it in it of itself could position people as complicit, and potientally endanger them, and the mission that juniper believes she is on for the benefit of people beyond her. (This is a fact I think is important to keep in mind as more spies get revealed / come into play and is important for their chars too)
Now - to make it messy and hate on my own guy. Other people's information could also be equally as damning, she rarely acknowledges that, but she also has very little proof that is the case.
Juniper has nothing but a desire to share information, and has communicated this frequently. I do think she's frequently a hypocryte, like many of these characters, but I also think there's a bit more nuance because of the politics of the world. I hope if anything - the dedication she has to it as a character speaks to the severity of the conflict.
It's why I think even today the conversation between tf!Lifebloom was so good. TF!Ros and tf!Juniper want the same thing, but are arguing about the execution and misunderstanding eachother left and right, (To honestly, a fault of neither of them).
And in many ways you could say it's reflective of the greater conflict.....
probably my favorite moment from the time in the crypt, not only because it was the moment she felt the least amount of fear, but also because it threw off everyone so much. something about this crypt brings her so much peace, something she can't quite name but intrinsically understands. maybe she just processes things a bit differently due to her sheltered upbringing, but ghosts are no longer among the list of things she flinches in fear at.
the reoccuring voice that holds her in place, on the other hand... that one is still scary
Fariy live where roots knot around old stones and rivers forget their names.
They are not small because of the world made them gentle, but because nature keeps its sharpets things hidden.
Iron troubles them most. It does not burn, exactly, but hums against their bones, pulling their blessings thin until wings feel like wet leaves. It hurts.
They use it only in rings, locks, and warnings. Ice is kinder, though still dangerous.
In winter, Fariy press their palms to frozen ponds and hear the slow dreams of water beneath, borrowing its hush to mend cracked magic.
Birds know them best. Crows trade secrets, robins carry crumbs of news, and owls watch without asking.
A Fariy life is moss, thorn, rain, feather, hunger, and quiet repair. They bless seeds, mourn fallen nests, and keep walking under brances that remember every storm, never fully safe, never fully alone, even when dawn comes cold again.
Ritual Flowers

[Clara]
Ritual crafting demands precision, because even one foolish ingredient can turn wonder into disaster. This is why every apprentice is tought one golden rule: never use flowers beginning with the letter W.
Willowbloom, Winterbell, Whisperpetal, or any similar flower must be kept far from the circle. Their roots remember wild mana, and their petals twist the wording of spells.
One careless crafter one added a Witeveil flower to a simple light ritual. The candles shrieked, the Amethyst Shards cracked, and the circle erupted in violet fire. The tower survived, barely. The crafter’s eyebrows did not. Never trust W flowers again.
A few days ago you on stream you mentioned you have several self care tools and ways to deal with character bleed. Would you ever consider making a video or stream (or even just a Tumblr post lmao) about it for other people who are also struggling? And alongside that, you mentioned you sent out a thing to the other flight cast members asking for their themes and themes they would like to avoid (or something like that sorry my memory isn't the greatest ;w;) did you have a specific form or something that you sent them, and if so would you be comfortable sharing it?
(Sorry if this is too much to ask, feel free to ignore me :3)
Hello! This is something I love talking about, not too much to ask at all!
Character bleed is when the line between who you are and who your character is gets blurred and you (for lack of bettwe words to describe this) begin to become the character you are playing. This is an especially prevalent conversation in the DnD and LARP communities, but it isn't really something I see people consider or know about in the MCRP space. It took me until early last year to realize how much of a crossover there is in terms of those three spaces, before then I viewed it as it's own thing entirely.
In DnD, one simple way to help differentiate you from your character is to narrate your actions in third person, rather than first. But for most of roleplaying, I find that it really helps to sit back and decompress after playing a character for hours. I'll listen to music that I specifically love, songs and artists that are not on a character playlist, just what I associate with me! (Flipturn my beloved) Journaling is also something I've found helpful, writing down stars and wishes for the session. Stars are things I really enjoyed, and wishes are aspects I want to work on more.
The one thing I cannot stress that I recommend enough is checking in with scene partners after a session is done, especially if there was a high emotion scene present, arguments/breakdowns/anything that could linger in the back of your mind after all is said and done. Just check in with them and say "hey! how are you feeling after that? anything you want to talk about or gameplan from?" Opening honest conversations for check ins helps to prevent internalizing emotions that you feel as your character- I feel it really helps to foster a safe environment. It can be difficult to shut a scene down, but in a LARP or TTRPG space, never be afraid to X card or step away from something if you feel it is weighing on your emotional or physical wellbeing. Your health and safety comes first over a game.
As for consent checklists, the tried and true one I love is by Monte Cook Games! It's a classic in the TTRPG community and can provide a great foundation for a session zero. I used it as a base and made a form for people to fill out, but ended up removing some of the preexisting topics and adding a bunch more to tailor it to the MCRP space. It gives a long list of topics with a red, yellow, and green box by each. Green means you're totally good with a topic, yellow means you'd like it veiled or not given in great detail, and red is a hard line of a topic you do not want to explore. It has a bunch of topics, some that most campaigns would never touch, but it's better to be expansive and cover all topics while saying most won't be in a campaign than to leave it more vague. For example, I included Religious Trauma because I knew my story would branch into that, so I wanted to make sure that I avoided anyone with my main backstory who marked that they were uncomfortable with those themes. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't interact at all, I would just know to be mindful when exploring my backstory around them!
I've been wanting to introduce more of the TTRPG safety tools to this space, as I think it could really be helpful. The Flight team was more than happy to let me give it a test run for TF, which I'm very grateful for! I'm more than happy to talk about this anytime, so always feel free to bring it up!
hiya! thank you for asking! i don't have a chart like a lot of folks have done, but i can make one sometime soon. it all boils down to:
shipping my characters is totally fine with me as long as the other creator involved is okay with it.
you can engage with my characters in art/fanfic/etc however you would like, i just ask that it's tagged correctly (or not tagged at all? i'm honestly new to this, specifically tumblr, and am open to feedback on the best course of action! if there are tags i should block to give the fandom their proper space, please let me know)
if i can be candid and a little personal, i think i was struggling with some character bleed and taking things a bit hard mentally for a bit, just due to how i share a name with my character and play her alllll the time. but ultimately that is on me to handle and navigate on my own! i am infinitely grateful for the support and love for my character and don't want to get in the way of anyone engaging with the media i create. how i've been letting things weigh on me is not for anyone else to fix, just for me to work through on my own!
i'm incredibly sorry if my feelings on it have ever been unclear, i've been thinking a lot about it recently and realized a lot of it boils down to me just needing to take a step back and stay in my lane. i think i've given the wrong impression at times, and i apologize for that. a lot of my feelings have just been spurred on by external anxiety and pressures, it has nothing to do with how any of the fandom has interacted with my characters. it's just stress that was weighing on me and the pressure i put on myself! i want to create stories and a space that people feel they can engage with, so if there is anything else i can do to facilitate that, i am very open to feedback.
i'm so sorry for such a hefty ramble, i hope this all makes sense! and again, if you have any further questions or want more clarification please ask me! i want to support this space however i can.
tf!Megii with two types of crutches (and a cane) because of her roots :D
(bonus lil doodle coming at some point of Juniper and tfLegs because I have favourites + also micro notes on the materials used for the cane and crutches)
I’m gonna info dump about my flight character now and my crystal from Mars…
My Martian Crystal… The crystal from my suit produces an element known as Basarium. Stellas need it in order to survive off planet. Mars is abundant in them so it’s not really something to worry about unless of course, you’re on another planet. Direct contact isn’t needed, and inserting these crystals into my goopy bloodstream would kill me.
Sniff asked me about Agriculture on Mars. I’m not exactly sure what grows there, but I typically ate rocks and gems. All kinds of rocks. That was like, the main food source along with livestock that I didn’t really bat an eye at eating, but it was rare to get and expensive anyway. Stuff never really grew like that, at least not where I was.
My organs and anatomy are quite similar to a humans apart from a few exceptions. I don’t have Lungs, or a sense of smell really. My blood is pink and goopy and is pumped by a “Glo-art.”
back on Mars, every marriage between Stellas was typically loveless and always for nothing but power gain. My characters parents never even really cared for each other. Having “Stars In Your Eyes” was a common saying kind of like butterflies in your stomach, but wasn’t ever used between Stellas often. The concept of a relationship just for fun didn’t exist amongst our culture, or at least just to me.
