Hello! Just one question, how did you manage to sound so convincingly panicked during the nightmare sequence last stream? It was genuinely impressive. Almost hard to watch because it was so spot on.
Thank you so much oh my goodness! I came into the nightmare knowing the tone I wanted to convey, which was more fear than tf!Graecie has ever experienced in her life (given how sheltered she has been) and Mark riffed off of one line I knew I wanted thrown at her perfectly! Honestly, DnD has been a huge part of pushing my acting post high school, I love getting to put myself into my characters shoes and try to embody them as fully as I can.
Sometimes I also take inspiration from media that is particularly impactful as well! I make note of voice inflections and when/how performers take breaths to convey emotion even further. Minecraft is a bit of a tough medium because it is relatively expressionless (at least visually) so a lot of the storytelling lies in the voice. It’s really fun to learn how I can even better convey emotion, I practice a ton!
