He almost let out an amused chuckle at her reaction and managed to hold it back, in respect of her and not wanting to taint their friendship in any way but still a smug smile appeared on his lips. “Giant sized wolfs and witches? And all the other beings that are running around here?”, he answered, reaching out to place a hand on her shoulder. “Easy there, darling. Take deep breaths. Well, if I tell you why, I can assume you might not believe it either.”

His word weren’t really helping. The flippant attitude wasn’t conducive to her actually calming down and realizing what else existed. Had he been telling the truth the whole time? No, she couldn’t have been friends with the actual Devil all this time and not even realize it. ❝ No, I need the why. I need facts. Facts are good. They’ll help me make sense of this weirdness, this mess. Please give me facts. ❞ Her face was almost pleading, echoing her words, as she looked around before back to him. He was solid, familiar. Safe? It was hard to tell anymore.
