so. there was definitely an easier, quicker way to go about making this snapping turtle puppet that i’m only half done. but i didn’t have a clue what i was doing when i started it and it’s too late to change my course of action now. so we’re doing it the hard, long, complicated and mediocre way.

progress pics on the shell for my snapping turtle puppet. this was my first time ever using paper mâché btw

regular paper mâché (that i should’ve kept going with) then i tried paper clay (FAIL) and then i covered that using spackle, which i have since smoothed out. tomorrow i will paint it and start assembling the body.
