So. Gross story (readers are warned):

Me and my mother were baking some traditional bread and needed oil to bake it. We were in a house in the middle of the woods and we almost never use cooking oil for anything. “The oil is open, how strange.” Was the first sign that something was wrong. The oil was open, like, not with the upper part of the lid open, it was without the lid itself.

“Oh, God!” Was the second and lest sign that something was wrong. My mother’s vision is not the best. She called me. “@ellcae, come here. What is this in the oil bottle?”

“I think it’s a spider, mom.” I couldn’t really see it since it was in the oil. “Mom. It’s a rat.”

“A rat?”

“A rat.”

I didn’t even know there were rats in the kind of place we were. Now I know there are.
