Hello, just wondering if you have managed to sort out your 'missing notes' issue. I am not getting very much help from tumblr support and saw that you were having the same problem! Lovely blog!
Hello, No unfortunately I have not... I think it's from when unsubscribed users try posting, but I'm not 100% sure. Good luck & thanks!
This year I was real life pop art for Halloween. I came across a photo online and was instantly inspired. I started to research seeing if there were any tutorials on how to create this look and found this very helpful vid done by Bethany at iwanted2c1video on youtube. She has a handful of awesome ideas and tuts. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
It took me 3 hours to do my makeup... I'm sure others could do this faster, I just wanted to be sure to have the dots perfectly in line to give that old school print effect rather than a massive case of acne.
Still have to catch up with my posting but tomorrow we officially enter into August! Jeepers, where has the time gone?! I was originally going to have teal be August's featured color, but thought it may be too close to some of my colors in June. So, what do you think August should be? I was thinking rainbow.
You may want to filter through the images to see if yours are being used.
I've uploaded the rest of my photographs to flickr. Swing by and have a look-sie.
"Rainy Day"
Rain, rain, go away come again another day...
Just a handful of pics from today, plan on uploading more later. On Wednesday night, a car (possibly 2?) was lit on fire in this Parkade by the rioters. These pictures document the results after it had been cleaned up.
"Fenced Off"
"Day After Riot"
Wow, aside from the shattered store front windows and the soot from fires, you'd never have known there was a riot last night. The people of Vancouver really came together and cleaned their city up in no time. Even the trains were clean of garbage (for the most part) with few signs of people.
One of the many reasons why I'm in love with the creative world. Seeing how the kids and adults interact with the street illusion makes me smile. For a short moment, it takes the person out of their daily routine and into their inner child. Nothing better than a dose of laughter. Brilliant.
"Rioters' Night"
Tonight the Vancouver Canucks lost the Stanley Cup. Shortly after the game had ended a huge riot broke out in the street of Vancouver. Cars, garbage cans, and even piles of garbage were lit on fire, store windows were shattered, looters were on a shopping spree... It was terrible and a sad sight to see. In the picture above I'm standing on Burrard Bridge looking back at the City. You can see the trail of black smoke from the burning cars and whatever else that might have been lit.
Howdy all! It has been a very long time since I last posted a pic-of-the-day, but I wanted to reassure you that my shutter is still moving and I plan to edit all the pictures and have them posted after I complete my first wedding gig... Did I mention I photographed my first wedding this past weekend? Well, I did and it was such a rush! I learned so much from the experience and I am forever grateful to the Newlyweds for giving my photog partner & I the opportunity.
Then to top it off, I was referred by my Husband's boss to photograph an event next weekend. I can't begin to tell you how good it feels to have finally found my place in the working world. I'm a late bloomer that is for sure, but I couldn't be more proud of myself for not settling on any job and pushing forward to find what it is that makes me truly happy in life.
Do not fear the road of failure for it will bring you to your destination of success.
"WHEEEEE"
Look at this wacky-doodle thing! It's a slide and it looks like one massive tongue! I REALLY wanted to ride down it, but parents were already giving me the stink eye after taking pictures. I'm pretty sure they thought I was taking pictures of their children, but little did they know I was completely captivated by the slide.
"Nothing But Denim"
This photo was inspired by jean advertisements. Kind of weird, I know, but I did come from the advertising world so bare with me.
It is one category in the advertising industry that I feel is consistent in designing successful ads.
"Landscaper"
Came across this handsome fella after I stepped out our back gate into the alleyway. Bit of a rainy day today and much cooler than yesterday. I sure am glad we had nice weather for the wedding... I don't know if I could handle a first time wedding gig in the rain?
"Mother of the Groom"
Photographed my VERY FIRST WEDDING today! Whew, what a ride!
