Okay so listing the shit Sylus has gone through from memory...

He is heavily implied to have been rejected or outright abandoned by his parents as a very young dragon

He was always an outcast. Not human enough. Not dragon enough.

He cut off his scales and his horns because he hated them so much. But they grew back no matter what he did (again as a child)

The only kin he had got slaughtered right in front of him. Leaving him as the last dragon alive.

The same humans who slaughtered his kin but spared him because of his appearance turn on him the moment they see he is not in fact human and try to kill him. Again, this all happens when he is young.

He is then persecuted by humans until at some point, he ends up sealed in the Abyss, a greatsword lodged in his chest, preventing him from moving freely even down there. He stays like that for 1,600 years, surviving on Wanderer Protocores

He meets MC, who frees him. They fall in love, split half their souls with each other, and are happy. But due to the dragon's curse, Sylus is destined to kill her one day because she is his beloved... or she him, because she is his destined archnemesis.

MC is taken from him. Sylus goes berserk and loses his mind, his dragon instincts taking over fully.

He sacrifices himself for MC last second before he can kill her. Breaking their curse. Giving her a chance at a life free from being used and abused, and himself eternal rest

Only, MC has other plans and curses him to eternal life, essentially. Only she can kill him.

At some point in time, Sylus is reincarnated together with MC in the nebula. There they are both locked up in a gladiatorial cage as mere children, forced to kill for public entertainment. Think Hunger Games.

They successfully escape together, but at a later point in time they are separated by the Deepspace Tunnel or as Sylus says "You were quietly moved to another garden in a foreign land".

Sylus ends up in space-time prison. We don't know how long he spent there or what was done to him, but I doubt it was in any way pleasant or easy.

He escapes and space pirates through the cosmos for MC, who he can probably sense is still out there. He eventually pinpoints her location, but is unable to properly reunite with her... because she has regressed to a young child. He frees her, but walks off... effectively losing her a third time. He also learns of the horrific torture that Gaia put her through. He watches over her from a distance, but never approaches her, valuing her autonomy too much to insert himself. But he waits for her. Hopes – no, knows – that she will find her way to him, if only to seek answers about her past.

The next 12 years – as most of his existence – are spent almost entirely alone, with no one except Mephie for companionship. He has no friends. No family. No close associates. Things do improve with Luke and Kieran's arrival.

14 years after he left her, he meets MC again. But she doesn't remember him, and worse, actively hates him and blames him for the death of her family, of which he had no part.

He is told straight to his face that MC – his soulmate and prime reason for living – rejects him, fears him, and is disgusted by him. Which very visibly hurts him.

Sees the Deepspace Tunnel again and with it, memories of losing MC. Again, the pain on his face is very visible.

In Death and Rebirth, he gets a hurtful reminder that he still doesn't have MC's full trust. And – yet again – the distress is apparent. Because their trust in each other is everything to him.

So... in summary: Sylus has been used, abused, isolated, and locked away for most of his life. He is so unused to kindness and to being treated like a human being that he doesn't know how to react when people wish him happy birthday.

Any care he was shown for the first millennia of his life came exclusively from MC, the one person to actually see him as something other than a Monster. Said soulmate is taken from him twice, tortured and repeatedly killed, her memories of him erased. When they meet again in current timeline, she hates him, and it takes a long time for Sylus to undo the damage of their first meeting.

The man has not had it easy, nor has he gotten to feel much joy.

So it'd be understandable to become bitter. Cruel. Cold.

But he doesn't

Hell, he never even crashes out (as far as we know).

Instead he's compassionate, an animal and nature lover, attends and donates at charity events, takes in the two orphans that tried to kill him, is the King of Consent, very emotionally mature etc.

Sylus is so strong, man... he never lost himself. He never lost his innate kindness despite a life (or lives ig) where nearly none was ever shown him.

Collecting my thoughts on what I know of Xavier’s journey, its impact on the main story, and my guess for what’s going to happen in his chapter in the next update—

For reference:

-Philos is a man-made planet that was ‘born’ the moment earth died. It’s earth, reanimated and kept alive by a powerful artificial source.

-MC is that source, the main story update confirmed she literally has the power of a planet inside her.

-Ever made Philos, or rather in this timeline, is planning on creating Philos.

-Some of the anecdotes and world underneath chapters allude to the fact Ever is watching her, watching her cultivate— she gets more powerful every time she resonates

-they are aware of her connection with Xavier and are choosing not to interfere, because every time they resonate his light evol makes her stronger.

-I’m SICK. He is basically unknowingly charging her up like a battery and they’re just salivating in anticipation, waiting for the right moment to seize her AND him.

-The Backtracker that betrayed Xavier ( Isaiah), is working for Ever. He assassinates Josephine (the explosion) to silence her and steal her observation records on MC. he managed to retrieve something to give to the Ever Raincoat/Agent.

-However Josephine left some files with Zayne before her death. She knew what was coming hid away the most valuable of the information they were after.

-The traitorous backtracker is receiving a drug to keep him from turning into a Wanderer in exchange for completing the tasks they give him. But there’s a substance in it that can make them control him if it works.

-They plan on modifying it to use on Xavier.

-The way the raincoat speaks on Philos is a bit?? As if he’s already familiar. He playfully comments on how a monarchy seems regressive for a futuristic civilization, then jokes as if Ever can interfere with their politics. “Kill Xavier and let Ever crown you as a prince”

-Then the “By seniority, I’m your ancestor.”

-it could be a coincidence, I don’t believe this raincoat has blood ties to the backtracker, but I do believe he’s referring to the fact that since he’ll be playing a hand in the creation of Philos, it basically makes him a “Founding Father”

-He might be delusional here, since he’s not yet in on the “Real Plan” and won’t be until he proves his worth by getting and controlling Xavier. Right now he’s basically flaunting authority he doesn’t even have lol.

-Xavier already knows that Philos needs human sacrifices to sustain itself.

-He knows that wanderers are a side effect of the sacrifices.

-He knows that MC is the perfect sacrifice because of her power but also because she can be reborn after she dies.

-Not wanting to choose between saving the planet or saving the girl he loves

-he scours the universe for a solution, something, anything that can power Philos and save MC from the fate of forever being the planet’s fuel.

-in my opinion, he eventually resolves to just straight up prevent Philos’s inception. Maybe being stuck in the past made it easier to get to this decision.

-This is where things get tricky, because earth finds out about Philos after the deepspace tunnel opens

-How?? Literally how the planet is literally future earth??

-Then there’s this line from one of world underneath chapters (chapter 4 I believe)

-The deep space tunnel created a convergence in which earth got to see its own ‘future’

-Xavier travels through the deepspace tunnel 200 years before it opens up above Linkon City. Could he be inadvertently responsible?

-We know now Sylus arrives through the tunnel and breaks MC out of the Gaia research center amidst the chaos of the Chronorift catastrophe

-He does just enough to free her and leaves again, Xavier rescues her and she ends up at a shelter

-Josephine finds her and decides to be her guardian.

-I’m not caught up on Caleb’s lore but I know his presence fits in here, he was definitely at the shelter with MC and was also taken in by Josephine. He was also caught up in her assassination, which nearly kills him too but he is saved, presumably by Ever.

-I read this character analysis on reddit regarding his dynamic with some other minor characters, but this part sticks out to me

-(IF SOMEONE COULD LET ME KNOW WHERE EXACTLY HE SAID THESE LINES IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED)

-but!! A world built on ruins is an illusion. This feels like a reference to Philos and how it’s doomed to fail.

-I think Caleb is aware of the plans for MC

-Back at the shelter, I remember you said that your home was beyond the stars.

-We now know that MC was not born on earth, that her earliest memory is being a child gladiator in some intergalactic arena with Sylus.

-I don’t think MC told him all about her past, but I do believe that Caleb has a vague idea that she’s not really from here or meant to be here, and knowing the fate of where Earth is headed he’s more than willing to take her wherever she’s meant to be, or better yet wherever she wants to be. Caleb doesn’t care about whatever happens to earth because it has always been his intention to just leave with MC if worst comes to worst.

-If Ever is aware of MC’s connection with Xavier, then they’re likely aware of the other LIs, and like with Xavier, every resonance with them makes MC stronger. They are watching her ripen like fruit before they pluck it.

-All the love interests KNOW there are eyes on her and have their own way of protecting her.

-Xavier will keep her by his side, they’d have to get through him to get to her. Sylus wants her to grow stronger and more powerful so that she’d be untouchable. They couldn’t take her if they tried. Caleb is planning an escape route for when shit hits the fan, Rafayel is dropping bodies behind the scenes and Zayne is like single-handedly keeping a VERY spiteful God at bay.

-But the chip in Caleb’s brain, the drug they’re brewing for Xavier, and the anti-matter weapons being made to combat Sylus? Zayne is distancing himself from MC on his own accord and I’m not sure what they have in store for Rafayel. But Ever is literally crafting tools to neutralize the LIs so they can easily get to MC.

-Back to Xavier, though. I ultimately think that his chapter will be his realization that in spite of his efforts, it still wasn’t enough to change the future he was trying to prevent. And that keeping MC by his side won’t be enough to protect her. Is he just going to be stuck in this loop of having to witness MC’s death over and over?

Okay final notes 🗒️:

-I know about the evol suppression device around Xavier’s neck but according to his anecdotes he had it on long before this present timeline. He exchanged his freedom for a Protocore that could save MC (though it was too late) and it’s implied that though Ever couldn’t get it off of him, they were able to tamper with it and increase it’s threshold so he can use more of his evol. (Side note: since he’s had the evol suppression device from the very beginning, doesn’t it mean his attempt to elope to Uluru would have likely failed since they probably could track him through the device?)

-I’m not caught up on all the world underneath chapters and the rest of the LIs lore, so if you read this far and there’s anything I’ve left out or that contradicts my theories please let me know I’m trying to make sense of this so bad 🙏😭

Finally back with another guide! This game is so annoying at times and writing out guides is not my strong suit. I am trying my best. ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡

With this game, you will get so much further with good protocores vs high levels. They mean nothing without a decent build! So yes, protocores are very very important.

I hope this helps! Some of my stats are iffy because my luck is awful with Protocores. Sometimes you will have to take what you can get and hope you can improve later on!!

The Basics

- Just match the companion’s talent! Listed below.

- Avoid flat stats unless they are boosted with a scaling % bonus

- For bonus % aim for 10%+. Typically you would want to be as close to 14% as possible.

- Any memories under level 50 benefit from flat stats though (pointless tbh)

- Trash any cores with ATK/DEF/HP bonuses as the main stat UNLESS YOU ARE USING CALEB then keep 1 Red Def bonus square for this solar. Keep any triangle protocores that have Damage 2 Weakness, Crit Damage, or Crit Rate.

- The highlighted area is your main stats! Everything below are sub stats.

- Make sure the bottom sub stat matches the companion because that’s the one that will be boosted the most in the long run

Example for an ATK scale companion

- Boost protocores to levels 3-6-9 to see what all 5 stats are before trashing it so you get some recourses back. Trash it before hitting level 12 since it’s too expensive and not worth it

- You gain a double bonus at levels 3-6-9-12-15 so rank protocores up by 3

- Any solar pair that has R1+ needs either 2x Expidited Energy or E.E and 1 Oath Strength. I will always vote for more E.E!

- Any pair with R0 should have 1 oath strength or E.E and 1 oath recovery boost!! Boost your oath recovery to +9 to ensure you will be able to use your oath twice during a battle (ignore mine being at +8).

- Only keep protocores that have the main stats shown above for the squares!

Examples of protocores from perfect, to decent, to horrible if using an Attack Companion! Def is not needed for this companion but it wont hurt. The last protocore has too many mixed flat stats that don’t align with the companion’s talents and/or are flat!

What does each protocore stat do?

I feel like some of the stats are pretty self explanatory so I won’t be going into those too much. Attack raised attack, defense raises defense, and HP raises HP. Simple.

I will be using the 𖤓 to represent solar memories, the first two pairs you equip, and the ☾ to represent lunar, the bundle of four!

Oath Strength (𖤓 and ☾)

Oath Strength boost how much damage your oath does. Those cool battle moves with the cut scenes, you know? Those! The moves you can only use once or twice during a battle. I would deem this stat to be not as important as the other ones listed below, but I will use it from time to time depending on the situation. I would rather have Expedited Energy for one of my solars over this stat.

Expedited Energy (𖤓 only)

Expedited Energy! You know those little yellow stars at the bottom of your health bars? The things that need to fill up so you can use your resonance moves? Well this protocore speeds up that process so they fill up faster! That’s all. Very very helpful though!

Oath Recovery Boost (𖤓 only)

I would only recommend using oath recovery if you are using a 5 star memory that isn’t Rank 1 or higher. Both solar memories need to have 1 rank to them to count as a full rank up by the way! Basically if you have a torn outfit with your companion then they are Rank 1 or above!

This stat just boost up how fast your oath charges! With that being said, it caps at 20%! Anything over that is overkill and is pointless to have. Even with the cap though, you can only use your oath 2 times during battle so I would cap this protocore at level 9 because this also guarantees you can use your oath twice if you timed it perfectly.

Crit Damage + Crit Rate (𖤓 sub stat & ☾ main stat)

These two stats go hand in hand! Without high crit rate your crit damage is useless! Crit damage increases the damage done when you land a critical hit and to land more critical hits you NEED crit rate. You would usually want to aim for the 40%’s and higher! With high enough crit damage and crit rate you can easily brute force your way through battles even without matching stellactrum. You can also raise your crit rate by ranking up lunar memories.

DMG To Weakness (𖤓 sub stat & ☾ main stat)

Whenever you break a shield on a Wanderer you start to do DMG to Weakness. Typically bosses will have shields and a few wanderers during mobs. This just means you’ll do more damage to them when their shields are down.

Attack Based: Lightseeker, Abysswalker, Boxing Sylus, Master of Fate, or any non myth companion ex: Dawnbreaker, pilot Caleb, artist Rafayel, deepspace Hunter Xavier, etc.

Attack Flat + Attack Bonus with any of these to follow: Crit Rate, Crit DMG, D2W

Defense Based: Lumiere, Foreseer, and Farspace Colonel* = priority

I saw a comment from an anon on TG and I somewhat agree

I think many have already seen the post in the official group about the story of KFS being handed back to Remi.

I want to express what might be an unpopular opinion, but this is a failure. Remi handed over HER original story to a novice writer, promised to help, but in practice, it resulted in an enormous amount of undeserved hate. Stasya worked hard and wrote the story BASED on Remi's developments. Everything that was in the story was supposed to be there from the beginning. Stasya got the second season: a cold, serious, and strict England.

Against the backdrop of bright, passionate, and fiery India and how the characters had behaved there earlier, this looked unusual and uncomfortable. Stasya couldn’t influence this from the start. She was given something that most people wouldn’t like. At the very least, because England was stretched over an entire season (in my opinion, England either shouldn’t have been there at all or should have been covered in three to four episodes at most). Again, this was originally REMI’s idea.

Now, what do we have? Stasya was under constant pressure and hatred, and neither Remi nor RC defended her. Remi was supposed to oversee what Stasya was writing, but she didn't do that.

Conclusion: Remi didn’t help, or if she did, she did it in such a way that no one liked the result. SCN is written terribly, releases one episode at a time, and the plot is stagnant. The same will happen with KFS, but there’s a catch. Remi now appears as the savior and fan favorite because “KFS will finally be saved!!!” No, it won’t. Remi will step into the story arc that people loved originally.

She threw England onto the novice scriptwriter and made her the scapegoat. But that doesn’t mean the story will now be written logically and coherently because there are examples like SCN and the entire second season, which was written UNDER HER SCRIPT AND DIRECTION.

Once again, Remi has shown her true nature, and RC has shown how little they care about their employees. I have not the slightest respect for this company. Hitting rock bottom over and over again without learning from it—now that’s impressive.
