⚠️ Warning: If You Do Not Like Fat Mikey, Leave This Blog Right Now! ⚠️
Hi everyone! I know Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (especially the 2012 series) is a beloved childhood memory for so many fans, and Avengers: Endgame is still one of the most badass Marvel movies out there. But today I have a confession to make…
I have a thing for Gluttony Mikey…
“why do you like Fat Mikey??” you might be asking. Well, let me explain everything from the beginning.
My love for chubby guys first really sparked back in 2016, and even though it’s been a full 10 years, I’m still just as into thicc boys as ever. This interest has been a comforting, consistent part of me through many different stages of life.
A lot of this started on my old Instagram account called Ella_Hamato. When I was 12–13 years old, I was really into yumeshipping with Gluttony Mikey. I spent hours imagining fun, silly, cute, and chaotic scenarios with him — it brought me so much joy and comfort during those younger years.
I eventually stepped away from the shipping side when I turned about 15, but now, as a 22-year-old, I’ve come full circle and reconnected with him again. The appreciation feels even stronger and more meaningful this time. It’s nostalgic, exciting, and shows how certain characters can stay with you for a long time.
Let’s Dive Deep into Gluttony Mikey (A.K.A. Fat Mikey / Hunger Mikey)
These days, Fat Mikey (also called Gluttony Mikey or Hunger Mikey) isn’t the huge trending topic he used to be. A lot of the online hype faded because of some pretty cringe and toxic drama that happened on DeviantArt years ago. But he originally appeared in the 2012 TMNT series in Season 4, Episode 6: “Journey to the Center of Mikey’s Mind.”
This episode originally aired on January 17, 2016.
The story is super creative and trippy: microscopic aliens invade Michelangelo’s mind, so his brothers — Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatello — have to shrink down and journey through the strange, colorful, and chaotic world of Mikey’s subconscious to stop them (with a little help from April’s psychic abilities).
While exploring inside Mikey’s head, the Turtles run into several exaggerated “aspects” of his personality. One of the funniest moments happens when Donnie points them out and says:
“Angry dude, glutton, weirdo… these are all aspects of Mikey’s personality!”
That line made it all click for me. Mikey has his angry side, his silly/weird side, and — of course — his big, hungry glutton side. That’s when Gluttony Mikey (the super chubby, pizza-obsessed version) makes his big entrance, and I was instantly hooked.
So, who exactly is Gluttony Mikey?
He’s the much rounder, softer, food-obsessed aspect of Michelangelo. You’ll see him surrounded by piles of pizza boxes, constantly chowing down, and demanding more in the most over-the-top, hilarious way. He repeatedly shouts “Feed me!! Feed me!!” with pure chaotic Mikey energy.
He even drops his own little rap:
“I’m the hungry dude in the mood for food. If you think that’s rude, you got a bad attitude!”
It sounds completely crazy — and it totally is — but that’s exactly what makes him so memorable and lovable. His voice, his greedy-but-joyful attitude, his endless appetite, and the way he fully embraces his bigger, softer body are all pure Mikey, just turned up to maximum gluttony levels. (Fun fact: When the episode first aired, Gluttony Mikey was extremely popular on DeviantArt and FurAffinity, with tons of fan art, stories, and discussions dedicated to him.)
That’s precisely why I’m so into Fat Mikey! His design feels fun, comforting, and completely unapologetic. He loves food without any shame, stays happy and confident being big and soft, and brings a lighthearted, chaotic energy that just resonates with me on a deep level.
Why This Means So Much to Me
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully understand where I’m coming from with my love for chubby guys. I’ve dealt with a lot of depression over the years because some people immediately assume my interest in Gluttony Mikey is nothing more than a “fetish.”
Let me be very clear: It’s not a fetish for me.
For me, it’s about body positivity and genuinely enjoying the character exactly as he is — with his big appetite, softer body, and all the fun chaos that comes with him. I have autism, and my appreciation for Mikey’s gluttonous side is sincere and innocent. I support his big, gluttonous body and the way he represents bigger bodies in such a fun, lighthearted way. There’s no kink involved — just real appreciation and a sense of comfort.
If you’re here just to judge or throw insults, please know that you’re actually coming after a grown autistic woman who is working hard on herself and getting ready to start a new job soon. Maybe take a second to think twice before saying anything hurtful.
That’s all for this updated post! I poured in more personal details, especially about my history with Gluttony Mikey from my Ella_Hamato days all the way to now at 22. If you made it this far, thank you — and make sure you read the warning at the very top. 💕
Have a wonderful day or night!
