It’s honeslty so annoying to see people who missed the entire point of Obsession. I’ve seen people saying that they want a partner just like Nikki, no, you don’t. You want someone who you have power over to fuel your fragile ego, Obsession is ABOUT how someone got their bodily autonomy taken away from them and was assaulted over and over again by the same person; even in the movie Nikki constantly tried to get through to Bear asking him to please stop and even in the scene with her being asleep and begging him to kill her.

If I see one more person say they want a partner like Nikki I’m going to immediately assume they are a rapist because that’s what Bear did KNOWING it wasn’t actually Nikki. Don’t even get me started on the fucking script either because it is 3x worse than the actual movie.

Obsession is NOT about mental health and BPD, it’s really not and I don’t get how people can compare the two. If it was about mental health Curry Barker would’ve made the clear and it wasn’t even a movie about being possessed either which so SOOO many people seem to get confused. NIKKI GOT HER BODILY AUTONOMY TAKEN AWAY FROM HER AND WAS RAPED AND ASSAULTED REPEATLY WHILST BEGGING BEAR TO PLEASE STOP. Fucking hell, I mean to an extent I get the mood swings in obsession as ‘relatable’ but they really aren’t, it’s not someone else controlling yous in a split it’s literally a flight or fight and you’re controlling everything you’re doing, Nikki cannot control it because her BODILY autonomy was STOLEN from her.
