Hi!  We’r doing a kickstarter! We’re looking to fund our 5 upcoming spring books. And pretty much secure the future for Peow in general! I’ve been thinking about wizards recently!  Mages and wizards are pretty much always depicted as just people in robes.   So these are the first battle mages I drew. Just general troops. I was inspired to mix a sort of tactical military “realism” and wizards (and some extra influences from Rob Liefeld). Using staffs as main weapons and wands (why just have one wand?? They’re really fragile!) as secondary. Potions for various health improvements and as grenade type things and various scrolls stuffed everywhere! More to come!

Oh, and if you’ve ever been interested in commissioning stuff from me - Peow! will be launching a kickstarter for our spring line up of books, and commission stuff from me will be one of the many cool rewards! So keep your eyes open for that!

Peow! is proud to present Bio-Whale by Ville Kallio!

Bio-Whale is a super melty sci-fi trip about a secret military weapon gone haywire and the people it affects. It’s part sci-fi action thriller, part melancholia and part absurd psychadelia.  Bio-Whale is probably the most ambitious book we’ve made. It’s a 100+ pages in two volumes that are sold as a package with a cool wraparound belly-strap. It’s printed on riso in blue and fluo pink which is super cool looking (but doesn’t photograph too well…) We’re premiering the book at the Helsinki comics festival the 29th of August, but you can pre order it now!  Pre-order and you get both a special pre-order price of 130sek, and you also get your book signed by Ville! Really proud of this book that we’re releasing.  It’s hard to show it in these photos, but Ville has this very cinematic psychedelic style that’s just awesome.

Heres a suuuper early concept picture for the game Sealand - a game about finding your fortune out on the high seas (which is pretty much all thats left of the world.) Just trying to get a bit of feeling down.

Oh! So.. We just wanted to share this quickly.Its.. all the people that will be sitting at our table at some point during Stockholms International Comic Festival. Its the same weekend as TCAF, but we are so so so luck and happy to have a great group coming over for the festival! airfortress, olleforsslof, blackyjunkgallery, catneep, krismukai, janemai, veesdumpingrounds, natalie-andrewson, boysfantasy, hannakdraws, arlinortiz, elliotalfredius, also mkllpz who writes great comics (including Nava!). 

The festival usually waits kinda late until they drop their list of guests so we kinda just wanted to share a little!!!! We’re also excited because the decadence gang and CBSP gang is also coming over … so.. YAH! HIGH FIVE

We did a reprint of this old picture! We never got a chance to sell the first print (that was in a different red) on our shop or anything, it was just a tiny print run that we sold at a show.  But now it's available here! I kinda like this new red (Bright Red!) better than the last. It pops!

Wow, Olly Skillman-Wilson made a 3d render of this. So cool and flattering! You can even spin it around and see all the little details from all sides! Look! Now to find someone who has a 3d printer... :)

I made a fan art of the hermit crab fight from Metal Slug 3 for a contest!  I've always really liked how it looks when the metal slug just hops straight up in the air, and Fio is the coolest MS character! Pew pew pew!

We're at Thought Bubble festival in Leeds this weekend! Happening right now! One of the things we have are these swordie stickers. Neat!

Deadlines and stuff has made September fly by, but Three Blades is finally being reprinted right as I type this!  It, along with the reprint of Hanna K's Third Wheel, is available for pre-order at http://peowstudio.com/!  Oh, this is a group of swordies from the book that I haven't posted earlier!

I did the MGCL_GRL test from Catneeps book, published by us. and became a Lock type! My familiar is Hamstergram, the greatest magician of all, but he's pretty annoying...! Clicky to animate! I suck at optimization!! This took wayyyy too long for way too little payoff...

So a few people have asked about the Three Blades book, and if it would be reprinted!  Now, finally, I can say Yes! We will reprint it in September! So the book sold out! In... a bit over a month! Crazy! Thank you SOO much to everyone who bought a copy! I'm totally overwhelmed with wonderment and gratitude! Here's a team of knights that was in the book, but I haven't posted here.  Thank you again everyone!!!
