Listen/purchase: FORTHCOMING NANCY PANTS ALBUM by nancy pants

Hey guys! I started a new band with fellow illustrator Ohara Hale called Nancy Pants. Check us out! Ohara sings and plays guitar, and I play bass. Drums are handled by Jeremy MacCuish from Parlovr and Nanimal. Ohara and I conceived the idea to start a fun low-stakes pop punk band together on our road trip to TCAF this past May and shit is finally happening for realz. It's a super fun project and I hope you like this first little offering. We're working on a full-length record (on my computer at my rehearsal space), and at the rate we're going (effortless supersonic hyperspeed) it should be done in the next couple of months. After only like 4 practices we have something like 10 songs. funnnnnnnn

OK, SO I WAS LOOKING THROUGH MY PHOTOS and I completely forgot to post this, but I think in this photo we looked the cutest!! Me as Cyril and my friend is my Petunia <33 we took lots of photos with Nozmo!

Here are some pictures of the mini I made for TCAF this year called For Sale! All pencil drawings printed on yellow paper with and off-white cover. 4.25" x 5.5"

Also just wanted to say what an amazing time I had at TCAF!! Big thanks to everyone from so many different wonderful places who came to my table to buy or trade or just to talk. And big thanks to my lovely tablemates. I hope I'll be able to do this every year!

I met Nicholas Gurewitch (of Perry Bible Fellowship fame) mostly by accident. I don't remember reading that he was attending but I saw a strange, bearded man sitting in front of PBF comics so I talked to him a bit and expressed my gratitude for all his work and made a purchase of a comic (though he didn't have pro-skub/anti-skub, sadly, though he did express that he feels not enough people really "get" that comic). He said if I came back later he'd draw something for me.

I came back the next day and asked for a bee. He went on to tell me how he wants to make a stop-motion movie about medieval bees. It would be almost entirely serious, and would feature little-to-no dialogue from the bees themselves (he said it would be like Courage the Cowardly dog, with expressive buzzing instead of Courage's yelps).

So instead of just drawing me a bee, he told me all about this idea, we chatted with birdandmoon about state animals and he gave me something so much greater than just a free sketch in the process.

One of the people I hoped to meet at TCAF was Angelina. I admire her because she strikes me as a very genuine person who wants to do good in the world. Albie, thank you very much for taking a picture with me even though I interrupted your conversation with your friends - and thanks to your friend who took our photo!
