Nadia paused, holding the bow just a few inches away from her hedgehog. "Is this because he's a boy? Because I've told Simon so many times that he just happens to like looking good!"

"Nope, not at all. I have to keep up my presentation you know" he smiled. Though it was true, being in charge of a such a popular company meant he had to keep up his appearance. "Wait, it’s my car. I drive!" he said grabbing the keys.
"I still haven't gotten mine inspected, I can't even legally drive my car here, of course we're taking yours." The girl pouted at him for a moment before shrugging and sighing. "Fine, you can drive, but this means you're paying for things."
Stubborn Lions || Nadia and Simon
"I don’t want her to have o much responsibility at such a young age. What if she can’t handle it, and if she couldn’t she would never tell me, she is too stubborn for that. I just don’t want her to overdo herself, if she did I would be blamed and I don’t feel like having my ass kicked by Paul or Timothy, because they would" he told her stubbornly. And if he was honest with himself he was just as protective over Kara himself.
"And I’m not being stubborn!" he yelled back as she took away his finished papers to file them.
The young woman wrinkled her nose at the man sitting in front of her. She was frustrated, which would easily be figured out by her stance, lips pursed and hands on her lips, not an overall look that most would want to challenge. Yet here he was, being stubborn as always, not giving in any. She was right, she knew she was, Kara deserved a chance to prove herself, at the very least to make some money for what she was already doing, but he wasn’t going to give in any time soon and she knew that. “You are being stubborn.”
Nadia shook her head and made a face at him, watching for just a moment before she leaned towards him. She wasn’t sure where the sudden urge had come from, but she wanted, no needed, to kiss him. She was done waiting. People talk about sparks and magic during their first kiss, expect this was different, something was different.
She took a step back and watched the man in front of her, thoughts, memories came flooding back, she glanced around her confused, not understanding exactly what was happening. Her fingers curled to the very edge of her palm and she slowly ran her thumb over them, remembering what used to be. She looked to the man in front of her once again, this time with an entirely different expression. Her breath caught in her throat as she took a careful step forward, not entirely sure if this was real life or just a dream. “Simba?”

Nodding sheepishly, Henry took another swig of the drink in question. She was very expressive, it was cute. “Pride Rock? Woah,” he responded. “That place is sweet! What do you do there?”
Nadia seemed really sweet, it was nice to speak to her. She seemed mature, but not too serious, which he liked. It was like a cool breeze on a too-hot day. Very refreshing.
Nadia's grin only grew when he said whoa. "It's great, really great. I've always worked there and I don't see myself ever searching for a new job. I work as Simon Pride's personal assistant. It's a great job, he's my best friend so most of the time I know what he needs before the thought even enters his head." The woman went back to nibbling on her food while watching him, "You said that you had some classes today, anything interesting?"

"Hey! I keep my hair like this for the ladies" He said giving a cocky smile running his hand through his hair. Truthfully it was because he like to look nice but he wasn’t going to give in. "So, wanna get going now?"
"For the ladies, you say?" She asked while trying not to laugh. "I see. So it has nothing whatsoever to do with you being vain?" Nadia stood up and nodded while skipping to the door, "Yes, let's get going." She pulled her jacket over her shoulders and slipped Ernest into her pocket. "I'll drive, where are your keys?"
Stubborn Lions || Nadia and Simon
Simon looked up as Nadia walked in with coffee. He smiled gratefully taking a cup of the hot beverage and muttered a “thanks” turning back to his work. Nadia really was a wonderful helper even if she like to push his buttons at times but he did the same to her so it was even. They might get on each others nerves at times but they always make up by the end of the day.
He listen to her carefully as she sat across from him but the moment he heard Kara he knew what she was going to say. This had been going on for months now. Her and Kara had been trying to convince him to let her work there for real and every time he said no. He didn’t want her to be subjected to the cruelty of the real world earlier than she had to and he would keep saying no. “We’ve talked about this Nadia, I gave in on a lot of things, but she doesn’t need to worry about working here yet. She hasn’t even finished school yet.”
"She does a lot for you Simon. For us. So maybe you should consider that for a minute. If you don't give her a real job than she's going to go and find something different. They we won't have her at all. Is that really what you want? I know that you don't want to give in, but just this once stop and consider that I'm right about this. I know that we've talk about it, okay? I know, but let's just talk about it again."
"Stop being stubborn!" She told him while standing up and taking the pages that he'd signed, going to file them into the cabinet in the corner. She knew that she was right about this, for all the work that Kara did she deserved a pay check. Maybe she was a bit young for a real job, but she was more than half way there already.
Stubborn Lions || Nadia and Simon
Nadia walked into the office, carrying two things of coffee with her, yawning while she bumped open the door to Simon's office with her foot. It was another late night, finishing paperwork and wanting to rip each others throats out at the tedious work. The repetitiveness of it all put both of them on edge, Simon more so than Nadia, but she didn't need to actually read it all, so that was to be understood. She just flipped through and skimmed for anything that was very clearly wrong.
She settled herself back into the seat across from him and handed one coffee to him before taking a sip of her own. "You know what I've been thinking?" She said while leaning back and bracing herself for any argument. "I think it's for you to give Kara a real job. She's ready for whatever you can throw at her."
Open Seat || Nadia and Henry
"Class break. I have another one at two, but sometimes I come over for coffee before heading to the gym." he grinned. Taking a bite of his chocolate chip cookie that nearly obliterated the whole thing, he continued. "I probaly shoudn’t have cof’ee before I go to the gem," he swallowed. "But this pumpkin spice stuff is really good. I sort of can’t help myself.
"Um. Anyway. Where do you work?"
"Coffee is how I survived through college. I don't think anyone ever saw me without some type in my hand." She covered her mouth with her hand and giggled at him, "Isn't it great? I'm hooked, I've been drinking it for almost a week now and I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to other flavors. I'll have to have Simon order me some special for work." She took another sip of her coffee before answering him. "I work at Pride Rock Music."

"Well, What if I’m to stupid to figure them out myself?" He asked with a smile. "But he is a man. He should be treated like one"
"Then you'll never know the answer." Nadia told him while she moved over to the plant and started to brush the dirt off her pet. "He likes wearing bows. If men shouldn't want to look fabulous then why do you make sure your hair always looks fluffy and luscious?"

"Simon Pride of Pride Rock music?" He asked. "I’ve met him a few times… he seemed nice." He smiled. "Can’t say I know him too well though. So I guess you’d be a better judge of his personality then I am." He chuckled to himself lightly. "So is he as nice as they say?"
"The one and only." Nadia told the man with a grin, "He's a special one." She giggled while shaking her head at the thought of her best friend. "He doesn't chat with people much, at least not that I'm aware of, so it's not unusual that you wouldn't really know him. It's not really his fault though, he's got a lot going on. " Nadia made a face thinking about how to answer, "Yeah, he really is."

"Stupids questions should be answered too, you know" he chuckled. "Isn’t that a form of animal cruelty? Forcing the poor guy to wear a cutesy bow, he’s a man"
"I disagree. Stupid questions shouldn't be asked at all since they shouldn't be asked than they shouldn't have to be answered." When he chuckled she wrinkled her nose and shook her head, "No, he loves them. He likes to look pretty."

"Is it? I figured you’d get a fuckton of morons trying to show off non-existent musical talent." That actually wasn’t meant to annoy Nadia, it was a honest question. She figured there were a lot of people who wanted to get a record deal. One who thought they could sing, when they really couldn’t. She raised a brow at the woman, was she insulting her father? Did she expect Victoria to care that she wasn’t fond of her sperm donor? Victoria nearly laughed at that idea. Zyra might ‘love’ him but Victoria probably disliked the man more than the other woman did. She stared at the woman. "Who do you think is going to stop me? Really.. Do you think anyone is going to go against Saxon? Yeah. I thought not.” She didn’t think Simon would actually kick her out either. “Yeah, sure. Whatever.” She gave a salute, certainly not meant to respect the woman, before she walked off. She knew the general direction of his office, and would wait there if he wasn’t in. She didn’t really care.
"Well... Yeah. I wouldn't say so if I didn't believe it." Nadia watched as she walked off, still not entirely sure about letting her in without anyone else knowing. Although, how bad could Saxon's daughter be? Nadia just hoped that she wasn't like her father. "Have a nice time..." She called while watching her go. Slowly she sat back in her chair and shrugged while getting back to work, there was nothing she could do now anyways.
(2002) Babysitting the Princess I Nadia and Kara
Kara smiled and picked up two tea bags from the fourth box. “It’s….” She looked at the box, squinting to read the label. “Mi-ent.” Her tiny lips moved, attempted to make sense of it. “Mint tea.” Then she smiled. “It’s mint!” She shoved the box towards her. “See?” Then she jumped up and down. “I got it! DId you see that? I figur’d it out.” She smiled, proud of herself.
Nadia nodded while smiling at the little girl and leading her back over to the table. The young woman placed the cups closer to the edge of the table, "You put in a tea packet and I'll pour the water. It's hot and I don't want you to burn yourself, alright honey?" Nadia picked up the tea pot and held it carefully, making sure she didn't spill any. "I did see, you did a great job. You're going to be reading big books before you know it."

"Yeah, totally!" he beamed, sliding into the seat. "Thanks. I’m Henry… did I say that already? Sorry." he placed his coffee down and began to tuck into his turnover from Wander-In. "Are you on lunch break, or just…" he gestured to the rare sunlight shining through the window. "enjoying the day?"
"It's truly a pleasure to meet you Henry." Nadia told him while taking a nibble from her muffin. "Currently I'm on my lunch break. Although I don't have too much of a time frame, so I was thinking about spending a bit of time in the sun before I head back. What about you?"
Sunbathing || Nadia and Niko
"It was a joke," he rolled his eyes, "I assumed not everyone would like it." He couldn’t help but feel internally superior at the clumsy comment. The cat was graceful, without exceptions, even in his human form. It made him better than humans, the majority of whom were so clumsy that Niko had a hard time understanding how they remained in one piece successfully. "I mind winter," he looped back to the other subject, "it’s cold, and dark. I need sunlight and warmth." He was a cat, after all.
"Oh." Nadia nodded at his words and bit her lip, giving a small laugh. "Whoops. My mistake." She said while rubbing the back of her neck and looking down at the ground. "Yeah, it is cold and dark, which is really, which is really too bad." She jumped as her phone rang and quickly read the message. "Well, this has been really fun, but work calls." She brushed herself off again and tucked her hair behind her ear while giving him a wave. "Until we meet again."

"Why should I waste my time answering your stupid questions?" Nadia asked before shaking her head and laughing. "It's not forcing, he likes it." A grin came over her face as she walked over to the plant and picked up her hedgehog from the back side of it, sleeping in the soil. "Hey Buddy." She said while brushing off the dirt and holding him in her left hand. "Want to say hi to Simon?"
Sunbathing || Nadia and Niko
"Especially when it gets so terrible in the winter," he agreed, nodding slightly. The cat hated the cold with a burning passion, seeing as that he needed sunlight and warmth to thrive. There were a few other things, but the cold Maine winters always put the cat in a horrid mood. At least when he was in feline form, he had human cuddles to warm him through the winter. Now, not only a full-grown human, but a very large one, it was nearly impossible to find enough cuddles to fill the winter. "That is true," he smiled, laughing, "Must be a great way to make friends."
"My hedgehog hates the winter, he likes to curl up into himself when it's cold. Personally I don't mind a little bit of snow flurries so long as the sun's out, but he hates it more than anything else in the world." She gave a small shrug at his comment about friends and tried not to look completely awkward when she did. "Um, not really. Some people are really nice about it, but others are actually quite angry, but I try not spill things. I'm just a bit clumsy."
