how long have you had your current talker? i used one until i was four and a bit after. i still have trouble explaining myself sometimes and stutter a lot. i have autism too

i used the Speak for Yourself app on an iPad and American Sign Language but nobody could understand me in ASL, not even the people who are fluent in it. that’s pretty cool that these devices exist

Dad said I go to doctor before we go Everglades because I am getting new feeding tube not NG tube like now I keep same food pump but new feeding tube it goes in my stomach not my nose

He got special thing for my new Blue bear it has same thing I am getting dad say he put it on my bear when I have mine

Feeding tube struggles

So. Here’s my list of annoying things about feeding tubes.

1. Angry pumps that wake you up at goddamn 3am

2. Feeding tube explosions. Y'all know what I’m talking about.

3. Granulation tissue/angry stoma

4.When the pump beeps loudly in public in a line at the cash register for grocery shopping.

5. Boxes/cases of formula is just SO GODDAMN HEAVY. Like for real.

6. When the gauze/tubie pad just wasn’t enough and it soaks through.

7. The boxes that the formula/other supplies comes in literally take up one entire room or you know… the entire house.

8. When the tube clogs and you can’t get it unclogged. Hospital trip at 4am anybody?

9. When your tube line gets wrapped up around the IV pole and then you have to spin like 5 times to get it unwrapped.

10. But despite the annoyances we are still extremely thankful and fortunate to have our feeding tubes as for pretty much all of us it has saved our lives. Feel free to add some more of your own!
