fast fashion gets so demonized as if couturiers aren’t worked like mules and on the low low, the glorification of “independent designers” masks the blood pouring out of the interns working under the name and the championing of “home sewing” is placing a cover over the skilled and unthanked and belittled labor our great grandmothers would do to clothe their families and … yeah anyone bemoaning fast fashion would shit bricks if they ever cracked open a book on the history of costume
