THE FIRST VICTIM OF THE RENEWED SKELETON WAR HOSTILITIES
i want kids but im scared they’ll blame me if theyre ugly
an American in Canada-
American living in Canada for last 11 years. In BC I pay $120 a month for basic health care for a family of 4. In January it will drop to $60 a month. Some provinces don’t pay anything. When my wife had our 2 kids we left the hospital with no bill. We see our family doctor without delay and pay nothing extra. Our kids get dental checks ups once a year with no extra cost. Most medications are covered. My current income tax is about a third of my income, same as it was in the states. The homeless person on the street has the same basic healthcare as the Prime Minister. If I need to go to a walk in clinic due to sudden onset of illness, there is no extra charge. Is it perfect? No. Do people go bankrupt in Canada over medical bills like Americans do? No. You can get extended health insurance through your employer or pay an additional 180ish a month for dental for adults, private hospital rooms, etc.
