I may be a little over-sensitive to these issues, but as a German national (who has lived in the UK for 30 years) I see worrying parallels between the Nazi party’s rise to power and what is happening now. Getting votes by feeding populist fears, demonising part of the population because of their religion, then isolating your country in the name of regaining national control. It all sounds eerily familiar
