it was pointed out to me by @fourends that this work traced a scene from Go! Princess Pretty Cure

Referencing a work vs tracing over it is a pretty big issue, I’m not sure I’m the best to talk about it since I only draw sparingly. 

What’s most disappointing is that this work has over 8k notes but op never mentions precure as a reference. So we felt like it should be mentioned.

Hi! I edited the original post to say that it was traced! So many people rightly pointed this out,  I made this when I was 13/14 and had no idea about copyright, I was just playing around with my tablet. Then I abandoned my account for years and forgot about it. Even though it has been years since this post was going around I felt like it was right to respond. Now I’m back years later and with an actual degree in animation and i definitely will be posting only original work  xxx

hello! your animations are so inspiring!! do you think you could share a bit of your process with us?

Oh wow, thank you very much!Why, yes of course:I usually start with a main idea and look up reference images or gifs to get the proportions and a general idea of the movements. I either do redraws of famous scenes or make up my own. Then I start with sketching out the first frame which is the starting position of the subject. After that, i draw on top of it on another layer and add a slight change to it, making the second frame and so on. I just make the layers their own individual images and from there its all about lineart and painting.I'm sorry if it's a bit confusing!
