This year Wilderness festival saw the likes of Sam Smith, Jessie Ware and London Grammar perform upon the fields of Cornbury park Oxfordshire. The little sister to Secret Garden party, expanded their inexhaustible variety of cultural and spiritual activities to delve into this year, with Cara Delavinge working alongside Selfridge’s and Mulberry.
The festival saw families and friends indulge in arts and crafts, lectures and poetry, camp fires and songs. Beautiful white Tipi tents for Arts and Crafts were set up with a special Mulberry tent offering group creation workshops and free handmade gifts from the session.
On the first morning of walking up at Wilderness Festival, me and friends got ready and decided to have a swim in a beautiful situated lake, surrounded by greenery and trees.
Upon our arrival to the lake, dozens of people were diving into the water, children splashing around, families sunbathing, couples taking romantic boat rides. The most awesome thing was people felt and behaved as freely as they wanted. If you wanted to walk round naked or barefoot that was the norm and some would say that being free with nature was the whole point of experiencing the Wilderness festival.
A bit further up from the lake was the spa retreat area with big round wooden hot tubs filled with clean and fresh water, perfect for revitalising you ready for the day ahead. The hot tubs and spa area cost around £30, unfortunately they sold out well in advance before me and my pals booked up. For future reference I highly recommend that you explore the Wilderness website and check out all the activities and events happening so that you if you want to book Yoga one of the mornings, you have the option to completely take advantage of all the wonderful and mind blowing activities being offered.
