RENAISSANCE. I came to Poland this summer, on the track of my ancestors.

I had to go to Auschwitz, to see for myself what happened there. History is not just about books and pictures.

This tree seemed so peaceful, full of life. Like nothing happened here. On the other side, all there is only desolation and memories. Life and death, side by side.

Remember. Do not let history repeat.

14 July. National day in France.

With a few friends, we wanted to find the perfect place to watch the fireworks. It's not that easy, because Paris is full of hundred of thousands of people trying to watch the spectacle as well. I wanted to do a cinemagraph, so I needed a good place to shoot the fireworks. You don't have fireworks in Paris every day!

We decided to find a rooftop. So we walked around to find a scaffolding to climb. It's illegal, but we don't harm anyone, we just want to enjoy the show. It was quite exciting!

After passing by a police checkpoint, we finally find a scaffolding, wait for a quiet moment, and jump on it. We climb without a sound, up to the roof. It's not easy when you have a camera, lenses, and a tripod on your back by the way!

At the end, it was perfect. Perfect place to watch, and nobody on the roof. It took a little bit of courage and boldness, but was really worth it!

I spent a wonderful week-end at Deauville, France.

I went with a friend - the great french actor Paul Besson - to enjoy the sun and the sea, away from Paris.

As the sun was going down at the end of the day, I took my camera and walked to the sea. The clouds were on fire, it was absolutely splendid and nobody was there to watch it.

Nobody but a young woman. She toof off her shoes, go ahead in the water, and stared at the horizon.

I had less than twenty seconds to take the picture and the video. I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.

My advice : take your camera everywhere you go!

The Buttes Chaumont park is the biggest park in Paris. And I'm lucky enough to live in front of it!

I took the picture on the top when I walked to the "little temple" you can see in the cinemagraph. I really love buildings and architecture, especially in Paris where every place has a story to tell.

It's crazy to have this point of view in a park by the way!

About the cinemagraph, I blended a timelapse and a cinemagraph together. The water is moving at a normal speed, but the sky is moving at a timelapse speed.

The trick here was to put the timelapse effect in the water reflection, to get some realism.

Finally, the sun is back in Paris.

The weather is perfect to go for a walk, at the Bois de Vincennes, which is a forest just near Paris.

This couple was having an intense conversation, without noticing they were (almost) alone there.

I did this cinemagraph without a tripod, because I didn't have a lot of time. The sun was going down, and I didn't know if these two lovers were staying there long enough for me to shoot.

I'm happy with the result anyway!

DRUGS KILL PEOPLE.

Here is a little cinemagraph I did. I wanted to show the addiction, the dark side, but also the pleasure you can take from it.
