Spoilers under the cut

     Okay, but can we talk about how gut-wrenching it sounded when Blake yelled out Yang’s name when Adam used his Semblance on her?  Like, I’m 100% convinced that Yang is the ONLY person that Blake has seen actually survive getting hit with Moonslice.  Not once, but twice.  And I doubt Blake would think she’d be so lucky a second time.

A brow rose at the first comment, and she couldn’t help but let out an amused, ‘tsk.’ She didn’t think herself much of an angel, more so just a person who knows things. 

“ I’m not certified, but my work works. “

She stated, gently wrapping a hand around his arm and tugging him to a cot in the back of her shop. 

“ Rez, get the yarrow powder and make it into a paste! San, get some bandages! “

Pasyan barked out, another collective, ‘got it!’ coming from another room. She knelt down, glancing between the man’s face and his wound as she pulled his hand away. After looking at it a bit more, she pressed his hand back to the injury and nodded.

“ –The big bandages, San! Take off your shirt and then put your hand back on the gash, also lie down. “

The brunette ordered, taking his weapon from his side and setting it on the other end of the cot. She turned around and started pulling open drawers, fishing out some thread and a needle. 

“ Hope you aren’t afraid of needles, deary. “

     The pain was starting to fade a little, but Qrow knew that it  had more to do with blood loss than actual healing.  Just his luck,  of course, that he’d get something this big but just big enough to  where he could keep going through immense amounts of pain.  

     “Your kids, eh?  I think I’ve had a couple of those,” he said as  he took off his shirt.  Parts of fabric tried to cling to skin from the  blood that had soaked through.  “I ain’t afraid of needles.  Hell,  I’ve done my own stitches once or twice.  Hurts like a bitch, but  I can handle it.”  He used his free hand to reach for the flask in his  pocket and placed it to his lips.

among the near jovial atmosphere of reunion it felt almost possible to forget the trouble outside of the safe house walls. at the very least, it *had* felt possible. when others recalled tales of their exploits in such heroic and gallant ways, then they could dissociate from how terrible the experience had actually been. instead of   “ we stopped ren from recklessly rushing to their death ”   it was   “ we fought valiantly against the nuckelavee terrorising rural anima. ”   details of how difficult all their journeys had been were muted or enhanced, and they had no doubt yang tried to hide her struggles just as much as they did, just as much as ren was going to.   ‘   no, of course she couldn’t, there was so much to absorb.   ’   if they hadn’t such marvellous control over their tone, the nervousness twinge would have made itself obvious. how much of it was ren’s right to tell   ?   how much had ruby already told her   ?   ‘   —   like, for instance, bandits tried to rob us on the road   …   multiple times. that was enjoyable.   ’

     Yang sat with her chin resting on one hand, lilac  eyes still fixed upon her friend.  Her own painful memories  of the past were still fresh in her mind, but it was neither the  time nor the place to dwell on just how horrific the better part  of this year had been for her.  She wouldn’t dare mention the  months of depression and isolation, before and after Ruby,  Jaune, Ren, and Nora had left.  Nor the nightmares of Adam.   The betrayal she’d felt upon Blake’s disappearance.  

     “Wouldn’t you know, me too.  Bandits seem to have gotten  far more bold in recent months.  With all the Huntsmen being pulled  elsewhere, and all that.  Kicked their asses, though,” she said with a  bout of enthusiasm, still trying to keep up the image of the old Yang.   The unbroken Yang.  

     But that Yang didn’t truly exist anymore.  She was broken, damaged  to the point where she could never go back, but she had also been  remade into something much stronger.  Something that would never  be broken the same way again, and she knew she was better for it.  

     Even still, she wished it hadn’t had to come to that for her to grow as  a person.

“Boys! You better not be breaking things back there again!”

The woman huffed, yelling at her sons from the front of the store after hearing clattering and one of them laughing. She couldn’t help but let out a small laugh though, shaking her head and resuming her sorting of shelved herbs. Her eyes drifted to the rain dripping down the windows, debating on closing earlier as she knew she wouldn’t have much business in this weather. Pasyan continued organizing however, too distracted by the mess to close up shop early. Eventually the place seemed sparkling new to her and she decided to start closing. 

“Hey I’m gonna close early, start lockin’ up back there!”

A collective, ‘got it mom,’ came from the back room and shuffling could be heard shortly after. She started closing cases of elixirs and charms, and turned on lamps for growing herbs on display. She pushed some hair out of her face before pushing the front door open, stopping dead in her tracks as her eyes came in contact with a pair of red optics- almost Grimm like, but less lifeless. The second thing to hit her was the smell of blood, kick starting her healer instincts. 

“Oh, hi! Are you okay? I smell blood- come in, come in.”

She gestures inside, babbling off the words without letting the man get so much as a breath in.

     Qrow had been through a lot in his years as a  Huntsman, but it wasn’t often he’d found himself  as deep over his head as he had this time.  His left hand  pressed against the gash on his waist while he dragged  his sword behind him.  A trail of blood followed, which he  hoped wouldn’t attract more Grimm.  

     The small building before him offered refuge and he didn’t  think twice before stumbling to the front door.  It opened before  him without an effort on his part, and as his eyes lifted up he saw  a woman standing before him.  

     “Shit, I really am dead.  Angel already comin’ to get me,” he  said as he was led inside.  The inside of the building was warm,  welcoming even.  It felt nice as his body seemed to grow more cold.  

     “You some kind of doctor or somethin’?”

one ( alias / name. ) Caleb two ( birthday. ) February 4th three ( zodiac sign. ) Aquarius four ( height. ) 5′9″ five ( hobbies. ) Video games, writing six ( favourite books. ) Percy Jackson, Hunger Games seven ( last song listened to. ) The God That Failed by Metallica eight ( last film i watched. ) Black Panther (again) nine ( inspiration for muse. ) Cinder is a muse that I wanted to do for a while, but there were always other Cinders that I felt did her better.  Then, I resolved that I’d stop caring and comparing myself to others and write the way I wanted to.  Yang and Qrow were muses I already had on other blogs, and I just moved them here.  Hazel is a new one that woke up during this season of RWBY.  And Amaris is an OC that I’ve had for a while as well and I’m finally ready to release to the public. ten ( meaning behind your url. ) It just felt right for Cinder.  And I didn’t come up with it, the lovely @hvntriss did.  I added an extra “i” because the other version is already taken by an inactive dash-only Steven Universe OC of all things.

     It had felt like an eternity since the last time Yang could  say she had felt truly happy, but here she was.  As she sat  in the room across the table from Ren, she couldn’t help but  look over at them and smile.  She’d missed all her friends dearly,  and she’d certainly had the chance to catch up with Ruby, Weiss, Jaune,  and Nora, but she had yet to have a chance to speak with Ren alone.  

     “So...I hear you’ve all had a hell of a trip these last few months,” Yang  said, shattering the silence that had grown thick between them.  “Ruby told me some of it, but she didn’t tell me everything.”

Stories need conflict to thrive. The Roleplay Community benefits from having muns that play antagonistic characters. Characters that not all others muses will like and get along with. Muses who do fucked up shit and love it. It can be lonely playing a character that everyone wants to treat like a punching bag, or wants to walk over, or ignore.

So at some point I’m going to turn this into a multimuse because the prospect of running multiple blogs for individual characters isn’t realistic for me anymore.  My job takes so much time, it’s just easier to have them in one place.  I’ll be adding, at least, Hazel, Yang and Adam.
