i think he's really really good at making slightly mediocre food. his attitude with kids & elderly gives me the impression he can turn any meal prep pack or instant ramen into an 8/10 dinner, leave it to takemaru to get you eating like a king in less than 20 minutes

city council of darkness is really cool for me specifically because my guesses before cloudward ho were "steampunk" or "horror" so it's like i'm being proven right for the second time

Takumi is well aware at this point that the power was infused into Nozomi with experiments, and she had just said as much, so this is very likely where the 'this is the real you' comment is coming from. There's also the fact that the power has been causing Nozomi so much pain this whole time, rejecting her body since she was a little girl.

Being without that power is the closest she can get to being the 'normal girl' she's always wanted to be.

this fundamentally separates nozomi from the others. the blood juice can leave her, but is infused into who the others are at their very core. ultimately they are the weapons of war and she is byproduct, and so she gets to live.

bonus: if the without-hemoanima, human, nozomi, is the real her. what does that say about the rest of the sdu? they can't get rid of their shion juice. they don't have a real them the same way - the "real" versions are fake memory discs from a machine. in acknowledging this as the defining event for "real nozomi," takumi is also implicitly acknowledging his own self is not real in the same way
