My Palfrey, Oakley, seems to have taken quite a liking to her.

In honour of his deer side, and her South African origins, I think the name Nyala would suit her well.

I'm happy for this to be posted as fanart for the successful adopter, if I don't get her :)

Oakley the Palfrey: my own OC

I've loved seeing all the adoptables springing up on this site lately, and it's got me craving a horse/deer type creature. So I wanted to see if I could design something myself.

I'd kind of like to make more Palfreys and open them up for adoption. Would anyone be interesting in adopting one? Please let me know :)

Palfreys are sort of a cross between a horse and a deer (which a bit of extra flair thrown in).

Oakley is a quiet type, keeping mostly to himself. He rarely shows much outward emotion, but it's clear from his intelligent eyes that there's a lot going on in that mind of his at all times.

A couple more old OCs I thought it would be fun to update and bring back (and also I've been craving horse characters as of late).

First up is Sapphire.

This mare started out as a 'sona design, before I decided to go in a different direction. I still really liked her though, so she got turned into an OC.

She's the serious, no-nonsense type that never just let's her hair down or goofs off. Very lead mare material.

And this is Liana.

The vines are actually markings on her body, and every year they grow a little bit longer with a few more leafs.

She's a quiet mare, and very much keeps to herself on the outskirts of the herd. She's got a mustang's sense for danger, so she'll be the first to react to a potential threat. As a result, she never seems to 100% let her guard down or relax completely.

Little Tangle reminded me of these sweeties I adopted years ago from the Chicken Smoothie forums. So, I thought it would be fun to give them a little update and redraw them with my current skills.

Sadly, I don't remember who originally designed either of them, nor do I have their original adopt art anymore.

First up is Krystal.

She's such a good girl. She's based on a German Shepherd dog, but with 3 tails and an icy blue colour scheme. She thrives on positive reinforcement: tell her she's a good girl, and she'll be your friend for life :)

The second critter is Aloe.

He is a green colourpoint fluttercat with monarch butterfly wings. He's playful and silly, but give him a sun puddle to bask in, and he won't move for the rest of the day.

You @emeraldhazeart Have adopted TANGLE!!! The silly, the goob. And YES! She is incredibly mischievous! She loves to climb EVERYTHING and hide in places cats really shouldn't. China cabinets, shelves of valuables. Christmas trees. All the things she shouldn't be getting into, but we love her! She loves a belly rub.

I've got plenty of horse characters, but the only OC I've got art of right now is my equisona, Autumn.

She's meant to be a chestnut pangare but with a dark mane and tail instead of flaxen.

A Monster (Undertale) OC I've been using as a side character in roleplays.

Their name is Mx. Hausen, pronouns they/them, and they're an older octopus Monster who owns a horse barn (hence the flat cap 😅).

Not much else to say for them, really. Just wanted to finally draw them.

Hazel lives in Dapplelight Forest (which is similar to Mushroom Hill) as the self-appointed guardian of the forest.

Her actual home is a tree house she constructed in the branches of the tallest oak in the very centre of the forest.

There are always several of the forest's resident Animals hanging out in her home, though the only one that lives there permanently with her is a little blue Flicky named Pip.

#1: What is your OC's name, and why did you choose it?

This is Hazel the Squirrel.

Her name came about as one of those wonderful moments where you hear a name and just know it's perfect for your OC.

'Hazel' ties in to her eye colour, her species as a squirrel, and her overall nature motif. I used to feel bad that it wasn't a more 'traditional' Sonic character name, like 'Knuckles' or 'Shadow'. Then again, neither is 'Amy', so I'm not going to stress about it too much. I like it, and I think it suits her. (plus she's been Hazel for so long I don't think I could change it even if I wanted to 😅)

She was originally named 'Conscience' when I first created her (way back when I was about 12 years old). She's gone through many design changes and refinements since then, but her core character has remained largely the same.

Use this picrew to make some OCs.

The limited options and very washed out colour pallet made this a bit of a challenge, but I was able to make a couple of my OCs in it.

She's not exactly how I imagined her, but this is about as close as I can get to Sherry, Reader's roommate from my latest fic Solace.

It's nice to have an image for her, at last.

And this is a personal OC based on my late cat, Frankie. He meant the world to me, and I wanted to immortalise him as a character I can use whenever and wherever. Again, not quite right (that should be a t-shirt under his jacket, not a button up shirt), but it's close enough.

I can never decide whether I want him to have cat ears or not (I normally have him without), so you get both versions here.

This was fun! I especially liked the idea of creating an OC from one of my stories in the picrew!

More art of my girl, because I’ve missed her.

I experimented with varying line thickness for this one.

I’ve also never been 100% happy with the thick wooden bangles around her wrists on her previous designs, so I had a play with some other options for making her gloves unique. But I liked how the brown balanced her outfit, so I eventually decided to keep it but tone it down into these crossed laces. Not sure if these new gloves will stick around, but they at least feel more fitting with the theme of the rest of her outfit.
