Pew Pew | Emilia | Ch4 | Closed for Katahiko

“Oh shut it and start the game” she cut him off with as she rolled away. Honestly, him being quiet seemed more like a personal challenge than a punishment for her, and who needed rules? All she knew was gun at target equals points, get more points
Despite her vast knowledge, she did eventually find this base he had briefly mentioned. A little too far away to shoot from, but it was at least a good spot to plot. Her plotting in particular consisted on practicing her backwards steering for a good minute or two, knowing very well that the targets on her back were almost completely covered. This would make aiming difficult, sure, but she’d have all the shots she wanted if he couldn’t hit her. Once she felt confident in her own driving abilities, she ensured everything was on before taking off, alternating between driving and stopping to actually aim her gun
She should’ve thought of the one arm thing. Luckily for her, walls were a thing, and she took the opportunity to camp out behind one. In a rather unfair move, she set herself up to where she was facing a corner, then smacked her cane on the floor behind the chair. After that, all she had to do was simply wait, her face and gun turned back to the open space
“[Censored], knew I shouldn’t have carried the cane on me” she yelled, not only taunting him but trying to make her location more obvious
Oh, well, okay.
“Games without rules aren’t really games?? But all right, have fun losing, bossy.”
Katahiko hurried to set everything up before throwing his gear on and making his way to his base.
…Which Emilia had apparently claimed for her own base, okay, time to run for the other one while she was busy working out her steering. And… what was his strategy exactly? He wasn’t known for being stealthy or particularly fast, but he’d have to pull something if he was going to make it to her unprotected side.
He glanced around the surfaces and tried test-firing a few times. Looked like he could bounce the laser off some of these. That would be helpful.
He jumped a little at the sudden noise before snorting. A “come and get me,” huh?
He started in that direction, but only a little bit. Then he hid and waited.
Maybe she was less patient than he was.
For once, Emilia was willing to wait for him. And wait, and wait...
Okay, a few minutes later maybe not so much. Was he really that stubborn? Did he just not hear? Emilia tapped the cane once more, then waited again
And waited
And waited
If only she had some type of personal mirror to see behind her without turning. A few moments later, she realized she did though, in the form of her phone. Couldn't shoot a laser off of it, but she could turn on the camera and look behind her. It was from that and a little angling that she eventually spotted Kat. He was almost close enough to shoot
Which means that naturally she had to come out, which is precisely what she did. She brought her knee to her chest then pushed off, firing recklessly towards him before quickly retreating back to her old spot. She could repeat that until he caught on or she hit him
Luckily, she wouldn't have to wait long though, since a noise coming from his vest marked her success. Naturally, she got a little cocky and came out to spin circles around him, chuckling
"Told you being a coward will never pay off!"
If only she knew that wasn't the end of the game
