it was really sad to look at the bios in my allegiance the musical playbill and see a lot of the actors’ credits were limited to: miss saigon, pacific overtures, flower drum song, the king and i, south pacific, avenue q, sometimes rent and les mis. for many of them, this was their first time doing a show with asian people at the lead that was actually written by asian people. it wasn’t a perfect musical, but i enjoyed it. and i have never seen such an asian heavy audience in a theatre. this show was important
