So wow this weekend. ļ I was supposed to get a procedure done from 9am-11am on Friday morning, and then B was planning on taking me to his Cabin for the night. (My first time ever being asked to go away with a guy for the night!) So I get to the doctors a little early and I get in to see my new specialist right away (ps- not the greatest first impression..I felt like he rushed through my appointment..I mean I could tell he had read my file, but I didnāt feel like he really cared ya know?) But then I was told that my infusion nurse wasnāt there yet. So Iām getting a little nervous- wanting to stay on schedule. (I am a TOTAL planner..) So I get told to please go back out into the waiting room-and about 10 minutes later a nurse comes out and says that the infusion nurse is not coming in today. That she changed her schedule to not work on Fridays, after I had made my appointment because they just had me down for an office visit. I was so upset. I didnāt even make it to my car and B was texting me to check in and see how things were going..he was planning on me sleeping on the drive up and maybe even taking a quick nap when we got up there. I told him what had happened and he said we could leave early and just go have fun and forget about the mess in town. He always puts a positive spin on every situation..I love that about him. ļ So we were on the road before 11 haha. We stopped at a feed store to get pellets for his stove and licorice made at the store and wandered through the aisles together and sang with my old cds the rest of the way up. ļ His neighbor had plowed for us so we only had to climb a mountain of snow and got into his cabin. BRRRR haha. He has a baseboard heater? (Im not sure if thatās what its called..) and a couple of space heaters and the pellet stove. So we turned on the heaters and he started the stove. OH MY GOSH it took FOREVER to heat that place up haha. We sat by the stove just the two of us for a while and then went to meet one of the guys from our dodgeball team who is a delivery truck driver for a baked goods store up in whitecloud..he had extra goodies for us! It was so fun to sneak around the back of the super market and get goodies right from the truck! ļ Then B drove us around the lake and told me all about all the people up there and how much fun it is in the summer and what they do. We got back and sat by the stove again and ordered a pizza a little while later from one of the local mom and pop stores that was open year round. We ran and got it and by the time we got back his cousin Swear Word (I'll call him that because he does it a lot..) was there and had dinner with us..wow what a vulgar man! Haha..definitely no filter, but when he talked about his wife or kids..even after 13 years together, he smiled. It was so sweet. Haha. After a little while of eating and hanging out Brians cousin S and her husband D (who happens to be B best friend..and according to B, the best man in his wedding one day) came up. We moved the kitchen table in front of the stove (B made sure I had the seat closest to stay as warm as possible haha itās the little things) and just drank and talked and played cards ļ. It was so nice and relaxing, and yes..still cold haha. I think I finally went to bed around midnight..and I climbed into bed WITH MY COAT ON..I feel like it was MAYBE 40 in the cabin. B came to bed a little while later and laughed at my for having my coat on. He climbed in and rubbed my arms and back and with his body heat I fell asleep almost instantly! Cousin Swear Word had left by the time we woke up- and Cousin S & Husband D were ready for breakfast when we were! So we filled up the stove and took off for a mom and pop breakfast of Omletes and Pancakes and most importantly..coffee and bacon :) then we went to an amish store and got a bunch of different flavors of cheese and different spices and went to B's parents 20 acres in Newaygo and I met his uncle D. His parents ended up coming up so we all hung out for a couple hours and then we needed to get back to check the stove. It was so cute- husband D dropped us off at the cabin and said heād be back in about 15 minutes to pick us up for lunch. So I brushed my hair and B filled the stove and we kissed (seriously some of the sweetest kisses Iāve ever had!) and it was time to go again! So we went out to lunch and had āBar Burgersā and played Keno (we won 8 bucks! ) and then bopped around to a couple of different shops and bars until we finally ordered another pizza at a bar to go for dinner and when we walked into the cabin..oh my gosh..it was SO WARM haha I could actually take off my coat!! We had snacks and played more cards and B's neighbor, Dirt, (no joke..he even calls himself that..) came over and hung out with us for a while too. I went to bed around 9:30 though! Haha B text me at 10 from the main floor and I didnāt get it until the next morning when I woke up.. ļ We slept in and talked in bed until about 9:30..I have to tell you..this is a new experience, just being able to lay in bed with nothing physical happening and have fun just being next to someone..finally we got up and cleaned up a little and packed up and headed back to his house. We pulled in his drive way and he asked if I was in a big hurry to get going and I said that I didnt really have anything planned for the rest of the day....so he said if I stayed a little longer heād make me lunch. So we warmed up left over pizza and hung out until he had to get ready for work ļ Oh and I should mention- he had winterized his cabins pipes..so there was NO RUNNING water haha. He did put water in a toilet so I didnāt have to pee outside and heated that bathroom haha. SO romantic (truly..kind of made me swoon) ļ Only Cousin S and I were allowed to pee inside haha. So when I did go, we couldnāt flush after or wash our hands..so everytime we went somewhere in town Cousin S and I were like..yaaay we get to wash our hands! I felt SO gross after not showering for a few days being with him..he didnāt even care. Which made me feel so comfortable around him..also a first.. B even came over last night after work and brought me an oreo flurry.. B and Husband D were talking this weekend and it sounds like we might take an over night trip next weekend to the bridge for some white fish! This whole experience has been so much fun. A couple of my girlfriends have been asking if we are "official" yet.. and no..we havent had the ..boyfriend..girlfriend..talk. And this is the first time that, it just doesnt matter! I see him almost everyday..we spend the night together atleast 5 nights a week, and its just so fun. I cant get enough of him. So anyway- stay tuned for more on B. xoxo, Em.
