Creatures: these have become my dear friends, made from sumi ink on rubber bands.  None of them were intended to be anything, but an exploratory mark on the page.  But, to my delight, all sorts of characters arrived through that process.

I went to Japan essentially just to look, and to see.  For me, the entire experience was visual - even flavors, scents and sounds.

Daily inspiration, Day #3.  I love this painting by Robert Spellman (http://www.robertspellman.com) for so many reasons…I love the place, the light, the painter, the color, and even the title, “Toward Libre,” which is a commune in Southern Colorado but also means freedom or liberation.
