Divination meaning: Vigilance, retreat, solitude, hermit's repose, exile, tomb and coffin. The single sword at the knight's side indicates a singularity of purpose and a great focus in life. Reversed: wise administration, circumspection, economy, avarice, precaution, testament. While accending this card can mean foing (as in "to thrust") into a cocoon like butterfly opeing up your third eye. Getting in touch with your purpose in life.

“Bonnie’s Body; the Mastectomy Venus” crochet sculpture at the MSV with the The Bodice Project through November 2020

Artist's Statement: "The Mastectomy Venus" is my tribute to my grandmother, Bonnie, who worked for the Manhattan Project during World War II, in the secret city of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Her job operating a Calutron separated uranium for the creation of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. She died of breast cancer in 1977, as direct result of her exposure to radiation during her time at Oak Ridge. — at Museum of the Shenandoah Valley.

Story behind this image.

In late 2018, Sammi Brown was elected to serve the 65th district for the WV house of delegates. Onoszko was not elected to serve a 2nd term for the County Commission. After the election, the new commission members removed from the facade of the courthouse, “without fanfare” as was initially requested by the women letter writers.

"Unbought, Unbossed, and Undefeated; Fake History 1972. (Acrylic on Nixon Plate)" Is a new piece I made in a small body of work inspired by the inimitable Shirley Chisholm,  who's wisdom and strength have comforted my troubled mind in recent months. As the first woman and first black American run for the Democratic nomination, she did not live to see Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton in their respective historic elections. When faced with partisan politics in congress, she turned a bum committee assignment into the national SNAP program,  giving government subsidiaries to farmers and food to the poor. She's the real star of 72' and it gave me great joy to sand Nixon off and imagine that America got a jump on this problem years before I was born.
