Why did London always pick the days she forgot her umbrella to absolutely down pour?Â
Eleanor stood in the doorway of the studio, glancing between the time on her phone and the rain outside. Her original plan had been to just walk to her next appointment, but there was no way in hell that was happening now. It didnât take long to pull up Uber and request a rideâŚ..that wasnât getting there for 20 minutes and would only pick her up down the street. She breathed in and out, pulled her coat over her head, and took off running down the street, only stopping when she reached the relative shelter of an overhang. Breathing deeply once more, Eleanor offered a smile to the other poor soul seeking refuge.
âDonât you just absolutely love the weather here?â

The city was doused in thick rain, falling harshly and unforgivingly. She had only meant to linger in the city for a short while. Time was of the essence. Kerem had things he needed doing and th constant buzzing of her phone only told her heâd become annoyed, eventually. Sheâd always been bad at keeping time, waltzing into things when she felt like it and, more often than not receiving a lecture about the importance of being places when she said she would.
She still didnât listen, often picking her nails and sneering.Â
The voice caused her head to turn; her face a picture of pure boredom. Had she thought she was there to chit chat about things such as the weather? Emine practically scoffed, unable to stop the roll of her eyes. Sheâd never been the most friendly person, it just wasnât in her DNA. Her phone buzzed again, only a second passed before it signalled another message.Â
She groaned.Â
ââI love being a drowned rat.ââ She said with no amusement, flatly. ââItâs my favorite thing to do and then have to speak to strangers about it makes my life all the more interesting.ââ Each word was like a knife. The smile she offered was anything but pleasant.Â
ââYou?ââ Although the question wasnât really asked to be answered.Â
