10 Years – Once Known, Never Forgotten.

I know my Tumblr blog is 99.9% Fantastic Beasts/Harry Potter, but outside Tumblr, I’m an absolute Michael Jackson fan. I’d like to write a bit of something here … Today, June 25th, marks the tenth year of his passing. 

It’s funny but sad how he’s one of the most famous people on the planet, yet many insightful and illuminating points about him remain shockingly under-reported. If I didn’t know better today, I seriously believed all that weird crap written about this man. 

When I first looked into interviews and researched about him, I was completely blown away. Underneath all that glitter, behind those explosive live performances … he was a gentle, kind and incredibly humble human being. He was surprisingly shy, soft-spoken, has quite a number of introverts-can-relate personality traits. He was also extremely well-read. His book of poems and short stories – how much I loved and still love it.

As fans, most of us were first drawn in by the music, but we support, respect and love him till today because our admiration goes beyond that. He touched our lives, changed us for the better. He was more than a singer or entertainer. We’ll never forget that.
