you have become a fine woman, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Swann: “Will, how many times must I ask you to call me Elizabeth?”
Will Turner: “At least once more, Miss Swann, as always.”
Elizabeth Swann: “Good day Mr. Turner.”
Will Turner: “Good day. *whispers* Elizabeth.”
Pirates of the Caribbean, “The Curse of the Black Pearl” , 2003

“[Would you let your daughter take up acting?] Oh, one-hundred percent I’d absolutely tell her not to. I would one-hundred-fifty million trillion percent be totally discouraging. Teenage years should be done privately. You should be going out and getting unbelievably drunk, getting into ridiculous situations, making mistakes. That’s what that time of life is about and we should do that privately. Saying that, I don’t regret it– I wouldn’t do my life any differently, but having lived through it…there was a very long time when interviewers were all: ‘well you’re a shit actress and you’re anorexic and people hate you’ which, for a teenager, is a very strange thing.”
I could more easily forgive his vanity had he not wounded mine. But no matter. I doubt we shall ever speak again.
Pride and Prejudice (2005) dir. Joe Wright
“do you agree…admiral norrington?”
emma-minerva:
“yes reinactments if battles apparently are for children” Emma said rolling her eyes “Dante and I have tried everything” she said she laid back in the grass and looked up at the clouds with a frown
“It can be if well done,” Chronos shrugged. “It doesn’t have to be battles it can be anything from any subject. I’m not trying to be in any way suggesting that you aren’t engaging enough with your students, just trying to help, and now I sound like a complete ass.”
“it could have come off that way but I do know it wasn’t your intent.” Emma said to him honestly “perspective is key though, where she is from she is likely treated like some sheltered flower made of glass which is why she acts the way she does around you” Emma explained to him “to have you worry about her like that when she hasn’t gievn you reason I suppose it just may have hit the right side spot while she was already upset with you to begin with”
“I know she can handle herself, I know she can fight, she is one of the strongest women I know. That doesn’t mean she would be alright if she got caught by any number of the less desireable people that call this island home.” Chronos leaned his head on Emma’s shoulder. “Wake me if something happens I feel a headache coming on.”
Emma nodded a bit letting him rest his head on her shoulder and nodded a bit.
It was hours before violet finally came outside, Emma looked up at her and violet looked down at them
“well?” Emma asked her violet sighed
“wake him up, I’ll buy the next round of drinks.”
It was the closest to an apology they would get from her
Chronos sat staring down at his mug not a single word spoken on his part. Occasionally the surface of the contents rippled with an occasional tear. He would say no more on what happened not while they were here. What was the point? She had already made up her mind as it was. His fingers traced through the condensation pooled on the table.
“well this is depressing,” Emma said breaking the silence of the three of them violet nodded s bit before she sighed
“can you give me a minute with Chronos Please?” Violet asked Emma was surprised but she nodded before she stood and headed for the bar violet looked at chronos
“look I’m sorry, but when I ask to be left alone so I can chill out that doesn’t mean follow me and piss me off more ok?”
He mearly looked at her, not saying anything. Chronos resumed looking at his mug for a moment letting the silence between them linger. He looked up at her once more clearly thinking about what words he would choose to say. His eyebrows rose and he drank down a gulp of his drink. He still said nothing, whatever he wanted to say was possibly hurtful or too close to home. So he opted for silence.
Violet huffed a bit and stood then
“fine. Don’t forgive me, let’s just get home then.” She said heading for the back room of the bar so they could go home Emma looked at chronos
“you get her to apologise and rather than accepting it you keep it up. Are you trying to sever your oldest relationship or am I misunderstanding this if so please enlighten me” Emma asked him huffing it was shocking enough she apologized at all
“Every word that came to mind would have severed it completely, she needs her time to cool I need mine.” Chronos told her. “I don’t want to hurt her, but it seems no matter what I say or do I always will.” There was a pain in his eyes.
“well then say that don’t just ignore her.” Emma told him shaking her head at him she was at her what’s end and ready to slap them both upside the head as she headed to the back room where violet was waiting she opened the portal and went through holding it for them
Emma looked at chronos
“you go first, I’m not leaving this place unelss you do.”
Chronos sighed and he glanced at Violet with a sorrowful look before disappearing through the mirror.
Violet didn’t say anything else as far as she was concerned he had already said everything that needed to be done or even unsaid when Emma came through violet let it shut to open another one again and head home wanting out of there as fast as possible the moment she was home she screamed as loud as she could in frustration and goddess help the poor soul that tried to aks her what was wrong.
Emma sighed and looked at him
“so that’s it?” She asked him “I have not been on your side for nearly my entire life for you to throw it away because you can’t seem to show her you give a damn in a way that let’s her know you actually do!”
“It is for the best this way,” he looked to the ground. “No matter how much we could have had there is nothing I could have said no amount of apology could have been enough to save us. I have dug my grave. I dug it with words of hate and silences. My actions tonight have told me that I am not good enough for her. She deserves a man not a boy who can’t even find it in himself the ability to tell her he loves her. I love her, but if that is how I show it then it clearly means I don’t know what Love is. I was going to apologize I just needed a moment more to find the words.”
"stop being so over dramatic" Emma told him bluntly "love or not you still care about her and she apologized to you, if you forgive her then go tell her that rather than sitting here whining to me about it" Emma told him before she turned and stormed off she needed to find evander he was better at this than she was
