Happy landiversary Curiosity! As of this past Sunday, it has been 5 Earth years (but only 2.5 Mars years!) since the rover touched down on the Martian surface. I remember watching the landing coverage like it was yesterday, and I can't believe 5 years later I get to be a part of the team! Here's to many more years of exploration and discovery! In honor of Pathfinder's 20th anniversary of landing on Mars, they pulled out and inflated the full-scale, test airbags from the Spirit and Opportunity rovers!
