“If Eleanor were the hero of some book, like THE BOXCAR CHILDREN or something, she’d try. If she were Dicey Tillerman, she’d find a way.
She’d be brave and noble, and she’d find a way.
But she wasn’t. Eleanor wasn’t any of those things. She was just trying to get through the night.”
GOOOSH why am i such a huge crier? And NO u can’t fucking blame hormones for that too.
The reason I’m crying is that, this book was different, the romance was different, that cool kinda romance, mashy sam7ini’s romance…. me who thought that I was immune to these YA romance novels, I didn’t even think I’d be caught up this much with the story, I never thought I’d end up crying after reading a contemporary YA romance.
And gosh should we discuss that ending? Rainbow did u have to make me cry AGAIN?!!!!
This was by the way the second book I read by Rainbow, and I was obsessed with this one too, as mush I was with the first one “Fangirl”, I think I liked this one better, it was more dramatic, pointing and catchy. It had all the ingredients: Innocent relationship, established on good music, comics, great movies, trust… it was not dirty, or manipulative, not even sickening or immoral.
And with every single word, every single event I thought my heart would burst in flames. I was actually staling so I wouldn’t finish it in no time like I usually do with good books.
Just go read it, I can’t think of a proper review. I’ll just put on The Smiths and cry here in the corner.
