8/15/18 - I started trying to draw once a day, using Trico because I love Trico and being a fictional creature, anatomy is less set in stone I guess? Iâm not super fond of the one on the left, but itâs the first thing Iâve drawn freehand in literal months. Maybe longer. I donât even know anymore. This was done in gel pen (Pilot G-2 .05mm--aka my favorite kind of pen ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ )
8/16/18 - Missed today, drew the above pic in pencil the next day. The pose/style is supposed to specifically be based on how http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/ draws âsimple dogâ
The hamburger is an inside joke in our house, relating to Trico potentially eating children. Iâm hoping to actually finish this one digitally at some point, but weâll see how that goes.

The lines are because I tried using the grid system to get the proportions somewhat close, with...mixed results. I like Tricoâs face in this one, but the body seems off. I think a lot of that is because I didnât slim Trico down enough from the fluffy reference. Changed the tree into some sort of rock structure, and chose to ignore Tricoâs wings. Idk.
It started as a pen drawing of a Pidgeot, but then I messed up a line in the face and just went with it. The face is ok, but the rest is crap :T *angrily grumbling something about âfinished, not perfectâ*
8/19-23/18 - Literally did not draw at all. I tried starting something digitally, but nothing came of that ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
8/24-25/18 - I think I kind of made up for the lack of sketches for the couple days with this one. Started off just from memory, but then the feet were bothering me enough I decided to actually look at a screenshot of Trico. What a concept. I still draw the claws too big (which could be written off as artistic interpretation, same with the ears), but at least they look closer?Â
I had the most trouble on the stretched arm and wing. Iâll learn how to draw wings someday--or at least learn how to fake it in a similar style to the rest of the drawing :T
Part of me wants to finish this up digitally, part of me is just happy itâs done and wants to leave it alone, and the rest of my wants to try bribing someone to do the lineart for me . Despite my complaining, I do actually like this last sketch.
8/26/18 - Nothing, again. But I actually scanned all the sketches so far and am posting them, so thatâs something?
