muse a’s known muse b for years. they’ve grown up together, and had been dating since sophomore year.

that is, until muse a royally fucks up.

rumors start spreading of his summer affair with muse c. she’s wildfire, intense. bright and funny and boisterous. muse a forgets the gentleness muse b had, and exchanges it for muse c’s bright exterior.

days turn into weeks, and muse a forgets about muse c, until he can’t. he begins to dream about her, miss her, loathe his summer affair. he goes to make it up to her, begging on the doorstep to her house party and missing her warmth and quiet kindness.

but is it too late? and are either of them the same people they were before?

a plot in a world where when you kill someone, you gain their remaining years their life was supposed to live tacked into yours. of course, you have people who kill messily and end up imprisoned for two-hundred years—those are the stupid ones. it hasn’t taken society long to realize that living a long time isn’t ideal—seeing your family die is something horrible and macabre. however, a new class emerges—hitmen. they are their own class, quiet and deadly and unspoken—the highest society, hundreds of years together. however, what happens when someone’s tired of living that long? what makes someone want to live....if not someone else?

some cute hades and persephone inspired plots for your dash, since im a dummy for this trope! 

1. one of the leaders of a large underground crime operation, hades isn’t one to make connections. he’s had strings of lovers in the past, though none of them have ever been labeled as his girlfriend. his line of work is dangerous, after all; he doesn’t want to endanger anyone he likes. assisted by his two brothers who are more bothersome than anything, he’s always been on co-pilot. that is, until he meets persephone. she’s a young girl, a little younger than him, who’s only recently moved into the city. she’s from the country, and she brings it with her--a world of beautiful spring and smiles. she doesn’t know what he does, and he would do anything to keep that from her and to keep her safe. 

2. hades and persephone were childhood friends, but when hades and his family moved away from the countryside, persephone grew up by herself. she was sheltered and protected by her mother, though caught a train out of there as soon as she turned eighteen. her mother finds out and is furious--she demands that persephone return as soon as possible, and as it turns out, the next train is three months away. around that same time, persephone meets someone that she thought she’d never see again: hades. 

3. hades is the ceo of a large company within the city. persephone is a new intern from outside the country, and she comes to work underneath him as a personal assistant. her study visa ends in a few months, right after winter ends, and as the days go by, hades begins to realize that he will not be able to go without his little spring flower. 

4. hades and persephone have been dating on and off since they were stupid teenagers. he’s two years older than her, and though the problems didn’t begin in college, they sure aren’t close to ending. she consistently leaves him every spring and comes back around the end of summer, missing him terribly. they can’t live without each other, but they can’t live with each other unless they make it work, which...well, might take a little more than they’d both expect.
