It should come as no surprise that the KorTac squad would have some body modifications. The combination of Krueger making drunken dares and Horangi’s (in hindsight, very badly thought-out) gambles made sure of it.
Krueger constantly walks around shirtless, much to most of the team’s annoyance. His tattoos of the russian coat of arms, a wolf, and his first squad symbol are prominently on display. Known only to the squad, though, is a hidden ink of a pair of chopsticks on one of his asscheeks. His penance for betting against your ability to eat fried mozzarella sticks with the utensil, dipping sauce and all. Piercings are kept to a minimum for him; only small studs are kept in his earlobes. He would have more, but his tongue piercing turned split tongue, stomps out the thought every time one of the others comes back with something new.
König, while covered up for most of the time, sports a good amount of ink as well. His arms and back were coated in small designs and insignias. He still has small gauges in his earlobes from his youth, never switching to anything smaller for fear it would catch in his hair (earning him a constant hipster man-bun, if the hipster was a 6’10 brick shithouse). His newest additions are a tongue piercing that he got as a “bonding exercise” with you and Horangi, and a singular nipple ring after losing a dare to Krueger. The smaller man will try to flick it at any given opportunity at the base, resulting in some sort of scuffle with König slapping his hands over his chest for protection.
Horangi is less tatted up compared to the two Austrians, the tops of his hands and forearms sporting a geometric, almost cybernetic style up to his elbows. Apart from the tongue piercing, he also has a small nostril piercing (apparently from a gamble he had lost back in his training days) and a couple of cartilage studs arcing up both ears. For the lack of ink coloring his flesh, Horangi makes up for it with small doodles littering his gear, often letting you and Konig add to his collection. Krueger has lost any marker privileges after drawing a cock and balls dead center on the back of his chestpack. Nikto has often walked off with his sunglasses (as Horangi tends to forget them around base), tucking the ends into his balaclava to complete the look.
Nikto is the least tattooed and pierced of the bunch. It is never brought up (as who would, given that he could pop someone's head off with one fist) about what happened with his, but in the privacy of either your or his quarters, you can see what remains. Any discernible designs are long gone; anything lower than his neck is more scar tissue than unmarred flesh. Bits of ink still spread in areas that remain. Pieces of what was something large on his back, black color dotting bits of his forearms, and maybe a quarter of a design still lay on one hip. Any piercings he once had follow the same issues. Deep scars cut through most of his face, tugging his lip at unnatural angles, and his ears with slices taken out. While not in any way wanting to get anything new, he will still come along in his own weird way of moral support. König nearly broke several of his fingers when he got his nipple ring. He swears it’s because he has nothing he wants to get, but you know from the many times you’ve had to patch him up, he’s afraid of needles.
And then there’s you. The little medic of the squad. If you were any standard military medic, a tattoo or two wouldn’t be out of place. Piercings are a no-go, especially with the number of soldiers that could try to pull them out. But this is KorTac, so the only men you have to worry about handling are just the four you live with, even if they are a mixed bag of nuts. You still had the expected tattoos, no escaping that stereotype. But the amount of metal you had dwarfed the entire group. You were smart enough not to engage in any of Krueger’s or Horangi’s dares and bets, at least the ones you knew you couldn’t win, so you were spared a fate like König’s. Though that doesn’t mean you weren’t laughing at his German screeching while the burning sensation of a needle went through your own nipples. You had just managed to one-up the poor bastard by getting both done, much to everyone but König’s amusement. Only one flicking attempt was ever made by Krueger, earning himself an ass-whooping any Spanish mother would be proud of. The tongue went much more easily; this time, Horangi’s fears of his poor tongue turning into Krueger’s provided you and König with entertainment. The rest went easy enough, four extra bits of metal in the flesh of each ear, much thinner than the other piercings. The most painful part of that experience was Nikto, his fingers clamped around yours, flinching hard every time the needle pushed through. It was sweet, almost endearing in the way Nikto’s eyes watched your face, murmuring softly at any flicker of discomfort, even if he was the most uncomfortable one there. Just means you’ll get to pay it forward and hold his hand when vaccine season comes around.
