Get in, Jason Fulford
Fuco Ueda
The first 10 minutes after you wake up are when your brain is the most open & impressionable. Your brain is in theta waves which is basically a mini hypnotic state.
Whatever you feed your mind during this time—good or bad—sets the tone for your day. So if you start by scrolling your phone, you’re basically programming yourself for distraction & chaos.
But if you use those 10 minutes on purpose, you can set yourself up for clarity and success. The first emotion or thought you give your brain in this state sticks with you all day, so think carefully about what you want to plant in your mind.
This + I feel like I’m not grounded in myself when people start talking to me or asking me to do things as soon as I wake up. It’s like their whims swoop in and set the tone for my day and I just feel off kilter afterwards. Now I know I need time to get rooted in myself and set my own intentions.
