So much wireplay art has people straight up yanking wires out of their robot partners chest, it looks so painful and it makes me sad :( more wireplay art where the person is tenderly interlacing wires between their fingers, making their partner moan in relief by undoing wirey knots, cable managment turned to bondage with zip ties, every cable zipped up and out of the way so they can feel around the other components that were hiding deeper inside. ⚠️ Community Alert: OS people are being scouted for Strange Addictions.

I received this message earlier on my public-facing Instagram account where I speak often about being objectumsexual and my object partner. I do outreach work and it’s a huge part of my online identity.

I looked through the profile for further context and it’s pretty obvious the show they’re casting for is something called Strange Addictions. These kinds of shows have routinely portrayed objectumsexuals in an unflattering light, and I have no doubt my relationship with a vehicle was a motivating factor as to why I was reached out to.

I can assume that they are probably trawling tags, so please be aware if you use them often. I’m not sure if it’s one person ( this was an individual ) or multiple people, and I do not know if anyone else has received similar messages.

I am censoring their name because I don’t want any sort of harassment towards them, I am just raising awareness that while these opportunities can seem very lucrative, I cannot, in good faith, recommend that any OS person take these kinds of offers.

Remember that when you consent to be on these shows, you give up your control of the narrative and they can edit you however they want. These shows are not made in good faith and will always treat being OS as a spectacle, and the hyper visibility this can bring to someone’s life is very usually negative.

60 years ago the future looked like this Abarth 1000 Coupé Speciale Concept, 1965, by Pininfarina. Based on a Fiat 850 fitted with a rear-mounted Abarth 982cc 4 cylinder engine. The canopy top worked in conjunction with conventionally opening doors to ease access. The car’s low profile and low seating position meant the steering wheel could be moved aside allowing the driver to be seated
