What the fuck happens that changes these stats to such a massive degree?

1) schizophrenia hardly ever causes people to be violent so schizophrenic people aren’t more likely to be violent than anyone else

2) schizophrenic people’s autonomy is often taken away from them because of their schizophrenia. because the authorities and mental healthcare providers often automatically assume schizophrenic people to be violent, they’re more likely to immediately react to schizophrenic people's symptoms with violence, without even knowing for sure said schizophrenic person was going to be violent. all of this causes schizophrenic people to be more likely of being victims of violence and abuse. schizophrenic people also have a harder time getting out of abusive households because of the risk of their autonomy being taken away. if a schizophrenic person’s relative or partner is abusive, often the schizophrenic person has no way out of the situation, both because our disconnect from reality can result in us being easier to manipulate, and because the system is built in a way that it takes away our autonomy because of our condition.

also schizophrenic people and psychotic people in general, please do a lot of research before picking a provider for your own sake, and if they try to treat your psychosis in a way that you think is harmful then don’t hesitate to switch providers. your safety and wellbeing should be a priority over everything else.

Dell looks back at Anne and perks up, shrugging.

“Sure thang! Ah think you’d like what ah’m buildin’, Anne” The Texan chuckled borderline maniacally as he stepped back from underneath the tarp that hid his creation from view.

“Tha blueprints over there.” Dell motioned to his chaotic workbench, a crumpled blueprint lying haphazardly on the top.

The blueprint didn’t help much in figuring out what Dell was building; his writing was horrid chicken scratch, and the lines to the pieces were wobbly and off-center. But together it looked like a robot…a robot with horns?….

“Hehe, watch yer step though, kiddo!” He chuckled as he turned back to his work. The state of the workbench reflected the state of the workshop; parts and pieces everywhere, oil stains slicking the floor and hazards lying just about everywhere.

Jane burst into the workshop, his eyes wide and brows furrowed in worry.

Oh no. This was all too familiar.

"A-Are... Are you okay?"

Dell whirls around and grins at Jane’s arrival, but it was off-putting. Not his smile.

“Rocket boy!!” The man exclaimed, using his nickname for Jane, but it was all wrong.

The Texan held out his outstretched arms, gunslinger on hand on one arm, and a hastily bandaged hand on the other, blood already seeping through the white cloth.

“Yer just in time to see what ah’ve been workin’ on! Yer not gonna believe it! After all my years as a engineer, ah can’t believe ah didn’t make something like THIS! It’s absolutely genius the way ah put the nuclear fuse with the motorized engine here and-”

The man spouted near nonsense, barely taking a moment to breathe in between sentences. He looked absolutely terrible; hoodie torn around the sleeves, pale in the skin, and trembling whenever he wasn’t frantically moving his hands for emphasis as he spoke.

“-can you IMAGINE how many rounds of tha Gravel Wars we woulda won if ah had done all that earlier?! It’s brilliant, BRILLIANT!”

He cackled, stopping at the foot of his large invention, covered by a dusty old tarp.

Oh, he had truly lost it.

Soldier backs up a step, thoroughly startled by this point. He'd never heard such unbridled craze come from the Texan's mouth like this, and it was... Intimidating. Scary, even.

Oh. Oh man.

That is all kinds of attractive.

"So what'd you-" He gulps. "What's all this? You- You gonna show me or keep- keep... yappin' your gob?"

Dell’s grin only widens as he grabs a fistful of the tarp, chuckling once more, thrilled that Jane seemed interested.

Oh, the goosebumps he felt once he thought of testing his magnificent work with the soldier.

“Well, since ya asked so nicely…presentin’ mah ingenious work, the Angus Tank!”

Dell rips the sheet away, and the towering beast of a machine was revealed.

The robot was at least three times the Texan’s size, assembled with parts and pieces from all sorts of different machines, resembling that of a minotaur.

The man had truly gone crazy.

“This beaut is a killin’ machine! Ah can operate ‘er from inside the chest cavity here, all the kits n’ kaboodles ah need to kill any sons’n’bitches that need killin’!” Dell explains with a snicker, patting the metal arm of the hulking machine.
