Mun FC update complete, as well as a theme update!

This muse is still a little flighty, so I wouldn't call myself active, but maybe I'll be able to get him up and working again soon! ...Let's not get out hopes up though; it'll probably scare him off.

I do indeed! Wei was founded by Cao Pi not too terribly long after the death of his father, you are correct. Cao Wei was founded in December of  220, just seven months after Cao Cao passed away, and the Wei Dynasty was begun.

Liu Bei immediately contested Cao Pi's claim, and declared himself Emperor of Shu Han the next year, 221, but as it was December, it was more like only a few months down the line. Shu Han was never considered a separate dynasty by Liu Bei, but rather a continuation of the Han Dynasty.

Sun Quan was a little late to the party, becoming a vassal of Cao Pi's and being granted the title King of Wu first. He didn't declare his dominion's independence from the new state of Cao Wei until 222, after Lu Xun gave Liu Bei a sound ass-kicking at Yiling, and did not ascend as the first Emperor of Eastern Wu until 229. The state of Shu Han reformed their alliance, and recognized his rule as legitimate.

I took this pic last night and I thought I would share it :) these are the Territories of the Three Kingdoms of China. Blue (Wei) Green (Shu) and Red (Wu) and the leaders are Wei (Cao Cao) Shu (Liu Bei) and Wu ( Suan Quan) this was during the battle at Fan Castle. I wonder how accurate the map is to history? Feel free to answer.

((In terms of Fan Castle's time, it's pretty close. Liu Bei was "borrowing" part of Jing province form Wu, but refused to give it back after taking Yi province, which was part of the initial agreement for the alliance at Chi Bi. The three pictured -- Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan -- were the respective leaders of their factions, but in truth, the kingdoms themselves didn't exist. Cao Cao was still serving the emperor of the Han, Sun Quan was just a vassal lord to the Han dynasty, and Liu Bei was... running around being a nuisance to Cao Cao I guess.))

Personality: A soft spoken and shy boy when one first encounters him. After a while, depending on how much time is spent with him, his true side starts bleeding through the wall of modesty. He starts to become more loudmouthed than before, and has more of his own energy, rather than being led by someone else. His mindset switches to that of a child, and his actions match his mind. Fortunately, he doesn’t always act as rambunctious as this, as he can settle down easily.

Special Talents: Good with taking care of animals (tigers especially), and is speedy.

Personal Headcanon: Considering how he frequently visits where the tigers rest to take care of them, he is almost always there to witness the birth of a cub. At those times, he would call for a family member to come and look at the newborn. While the mother is recovering, he aids her while the cubs suckle.

Sun Quan Really Did Hunt Tigers - And He Thought It Was Funny

Sun Quan had often gone hunting in the fields. Riding on his horse, he would shoot arrows at tigers, and often they would leap forward, grabbing at the saddle. Once Zhang Zhao came up to him sternly and said, “Why do you do this, o general? When one is said to be a lord over man, it means that he is able to rule over and command heroes of the time, but not that he can gallop through the plains wrestling with wild beasts! If there should be an accident one day, would the world not laugh at you?”

Quan apologized to Zhao, saying, “I am young and do not think far, and have dishonored you in this.” But yet he could not stop [hunting]. And so he built a “tiger-shooting chariot”, which has square holes [to see and shoot out of], and often the roof is taken off. Having someone driving the chariot, Quan would stand in the centre and shoot. Occasionally there would be beasts traveling in groups that would attack the chariot, and Quan would fight hand-to-hand with them for fun. Even when Zhao admonished him, he would only smile and not answer Zhao.

The Dirty, Fiery Tantrum of Eastern Wu - Sun Quan and Zhang Zhao

"…Zhao was angry because his advice was not heeded, and took sick leave from his duties, staying at home. Quan resented that, and piled dirt at Zhang Zhao’s door to block it. Zhao, from the inside, sealed his door with dirt as well. In the end, Gongsun Yuan really killed Mi and An, and Quan tried to apologize to Zhao about it.

However, Zhao did not come out. Quan then walked by his door, calling out for him, but Zhao declined the visit, saying that he was in the last stages of his illness. Quan then set fire to his door in an attempt to scare Zhao out, but rather than coming out, Zhao shut his doors even tighter. So Quan had to get someone to extinguish the fire, and stood there, staring at it for a long time.

All the sons of Zhang Zhao picked Zhao up and helped him out the door, and Sun Quan took him in a carriage back to the palace, where he admitted guilt on his part, apologizing profusely. With no choice, Zhao returned to his work after that.”

"They’re going to be calling you back in any time, you know. The first place they’re going to look is with Gongji or I." The dark-haired commander turned to few the red-head with interest, delicately curved eyes taking their time to drink in any expression offered him. 

Nevertheless, he opened up one of the wine bottles, the bitter scent filling the small area of his living quarters like the stench of a blown-out candlewick.  

"What are we celebrating, exactly? Ninth day of the New Years festivities? Lots to be thankful for in the last year, I suppose. What about you?" Slender fingers wrapped themselves around one of the little cups, filling it up to pass over to the emperor across from him. 

"Anything exciting going on outside of your duties?”

"Nngh... maybe if you don't suggest it, it won't happen?" The emperor groaned, leaning forward to rest one arm on the table. "But if we're being honest, I think a little time away is really just the thing. If they call me back... I'll just ignore them, it's my prerogative." His tone was a little uncertain, after all, what if it was something important? He couldn't imagine being interrupted for anything else, especially concerning recent developments within his family.

Reaching gratefully for the cup, the tiger lord offered a smile, "As always, the New Year is something to be celebrated, and what better way to spend it than with a dear friend?" He took a slow sip of the wine, savoring the strength of the flavor a moment before addressing the question. "As for excitement, my daughter just gave birth to her first child. A son, who she and her husband-to-be have decided to name Fan."
