How I’m Learning to Use AI Thoughtfully
I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want AI to fit into my creative life.
I’m a creative, AI-empowered entrepreneur and self-published indie author, and I’m not interested in using AI to rush, replace creativity, or burn myself out. I’m much more interested in learning how to use it thoughtfully — as support, not control.
For me, that’s meant slowing down and choosing learning environments that value:
shared understanding over shortcuts
practical application over hype
sustainability over constant optimisation
Lately, that’s included attending live AI learning sessions where the focus is on learning alongside others — asking questions in real time, seeing how different creators approach the same tools, and building systems that actually fit real creative work like writing, blogging, and long-term projects.
There’s something grounding about learning in community, rather than trying to figure everything out alone.
If you’re an indie author, writer, or creator who’s curious about AI but wants to explore it in a calm, supportive, burnout-free way, you’re welcome to join the sessions I’m learning from.
