Movie Night
Kotone nodded and took the DVD out of the case so Mitsuru could still look it over. It was a movie called Dead Silence. Something about a dead ventriloquist woman who hates people or something. Creepy dolls and what not. She popped it in and grabbed a remote to get it started.
Kotone saw Mitsuru coming closer. Seemed like she had the right idea. She came close, close enough that they were lightly touching. Was there plenty of room? Yes. But the best spot was right there next to Mitsuru. “This is a horror movie, so if you feel scared you can hold onto me.” She was teasing Mitsuru. As if she’d be scared after what she seen in the Dark Hour. Heck, she wouldn’t be scared… right?
“I’ll keep it in mind, but you don’t need to worry.” She leaned closer to her, still. These kind of movies did have an effect on her, after all. Mitsuru, even with all her years of experience and all, didn’t have the heart for this.
There was something that the Dark Hour didn’t have, that movies like these seemed to nail correctly: Music. For some reason, feeling the piano or violin creeping up on the soundtrack, it made Mitsuru tense up as the moment came closer and closer.
And when the jump finally happened, Mitsuru released all that tension with a jump, as she stared at the screen for a moment, her hands placed against her thighs. “S-sorry...” And she placed her arm around Kotone, bringing her a bit closer.
