What is the annoying fascination/compulsion that the non-disabled feel to give unsolicited advice/i know people with your condition and what works for them is…/well are you trying this thing/you could totally live a symptom free life if…/ all the time? Like, can I just bitch about about my condition in peace? If they’re bitching about their bad day, I don’t offer advice, I say “I hope you feel better, let me know if you need anything” and that’s it. Why can’t they just do the same for me? You know what bothers me? Ronan Lynch is canonically Irish. If he was black and ya’ll posted pictures of him as a Norwegian beauty, shit would go down. He’s Irish. He has black hair. And sharp cheekbones. He is Irish. He is not anything else that we need to worry about, because he’s said to Look Irish.

You know that means that in some certain lights, his black hair shows blonde and red, right? That his hair is soft. That his eyes look different. That his lips could be full, his body wiry, his fighting skills on point. Because those are features of Irish descendants and Irish families. Not stereotypes, but culture.

Yeah, white people have culture. Suck it.

none of the physical descriptors that you just listed mean that he can’t be black, or that people can’t read him as being anything but white.

ronan is irish, yes, and he is deeply involved in that irish culture, but that’s not white culture any more than american culture is white culture. it’s irish culture; he can be black or biracial and still be irish.

Well. as much as I want this to be true, I won’t deny the canon. We can do whatever we want in fan art and fan fic, but I don’t think we should overpower canon.
