If someone is wearing long sleeves in summer
Or if you see scars or marks or burns or stretchmarks or spots
Or any kind of difference or deformity
Don’t point it out
To anyone
Don’t.
Bringing this back as summer is coming
But if you see that those marks are bleeding/fresh, especially if they look like cut marks, ask that person if they are okay, don’t announce it to the world, just ask them privately if everything is okay, because that could mean the difference between helping someone recover and perpetuating their thoughts that nobody cares.Â
Please look out for your fellow people.
I would do this and also offer hugs no matter who it is even strangers because sometimes you just need to know someone cares.
