starting the stu skinner to the winnipeg jets agenda:

- there’s been rumours that the pens aren’t intending on keeping stu and want to flip him for picks. this wouldn’t surprise me given the silence on their social media about him and kulak (no welcome posts, just an announcement for the trade and nothing else)

-if stu does play in pittsburgh, i see no chance of him extending. the pens want silovs and murashev as their new tandem and he’ll become a ufa

-the jets need another goalie to play with hellebuyck. they just rushed him back from knee surgery after only 3 weeks (he was supposed to be out 4-6 weeks)

-comrie has never played 20 games in a season until now, and the jets organization doesn’t seem to have much faith in him. he’s also ufa at the end of the season, and i don’t see him being re-signed, or staying in the nhl at all. hellebuyck shoulders way too much of the load over there due to not having a partner that can be trusted with more starts, and the exhaustion could explain why he usually struggles in the playoffs.

-stu and hellebuyck both have almost the exact same style of play, and both train with the same goalie coach over the summer. one of the biggest issues in stu’s development is that he’s never had an older, veteran goalie to help him out, and playing with the best of the best, plus having access to his goalie coach full time, would be enticing for him and could help him reach his full potential as a goaltender. plus hellebuyck would benefit from having a partner he can rely on, and winnipeg’s defense would be a huge help for stu as well.

-the jets are the only other team i’d be genuinely happy to see win a cup and i think he’d fit in well there :) winning with another canadian team would be the greatest fuck you to bowman that i could possibly dream of. i’d even buy a jets jersey. plus i think him and hellebuyck have similar personalities and would get along well.

anyways this is just my opinion. but i think the chances of him staying with the pens are extremely slim, and i think he’d thrive in winnipeg. maybe it’s just wishful thinking.
