When you look at movies, the lead girl is always gorgeous and thin. There is a stereotype that you need to look a certain way and when you get in the business you really feel the pressure.

Something that Iâve learnt from my many years of struggling with depression is that itâs never really gone. Even at times when I feel good and healthy, Iâm still always at risk of relapse. So far, Iâve experienced relapses every couple of years and one of the many reasons that happened is that I didnât take my depression seriously enough. No one likes being mentally ill, so once depression doesnât feel too present, I tend to ignore it. I quickly put myself under a lot of pressure, because everyone else does too, and since my depression isnât acting up in that particular moment, I donât feel like I have an excuse to take things easy. I feel like a liar and very disrespectful of other peopleâs hard work, so I push myself all the time to keep up with everyone. I donât want to cause trouble because of something no one can see. While every single time seems still manageable to me, those situations keep stacking, until I canât deal with the amount of stress anymore. Then I fall apart. This is a reminder to me and everyone else whoâs in a similar situation: by accepting your depression and keeping it in mind, youâll be able to live a healthier life in the long run. Itâs difficult to miss out on certain things or to say ânoâ to friends because of something that isnât an immediate problem. But every time you decide to take care of your needs, you will keep depression away a bit longer.
As a depression sufferer myself I appreciate this and it reminds me of Mr Johnsonâs Cat
Snezhana Soosh is a 37-year-old artist from the Ukraine. She recently began posting some heartwarming illustrations of a father and his daughter on instagram. The images are sadly not from experience as her own father was not part of her life. She hopes theyâll inspire young men, like her own son, to be present in their daughterâs lives when they have a family of their own. There are currently 14 paintings in the series, but hopefully she will add more. I absolutely love this! (Source)
When you love someone you protect them from the pain, you donât become the cause of it.

âI was written off when I was about 15, told I wasnât good enough. So the bad advice I had was that I wasnât going to make it. That stuck in my mind, but then my mum told me to stay patient, finish school and then letâs see.â
iâm not kidding when i say this is going to be hell for amber heard. like every woman who comes forward about domestic abuse, there will be a bias against her but one that is amplified so much more by her position in the limelight and deppâs career. she will be dragged every day in the press and accused of all kinds of things by twitter and mocked on websites and people would rather joke about it than support her vocally but she needs to know she has support right now. Â she is a young woman accusing an older man of something people would rather laud than address, Â please give her your support. Â
she filed her evidence and restraining order today.  the police had to be called to their home on saturday and, according to the source, itâs not the first time something like this has happened.  this is disgusting behavior from a man that she placed her heart and her trust in.  the way that this is already being handle by depp is gross,  already he has come out on the defense and has said that he will not address any âsalacious gossip, false stories or lies about his personal lifeâ.Â
already, he is setting her up in the traditional way that media view women who come forward about domestic abuse: as an attention seeking liar. Â already, he is setting her up to fall.Â
we need to believe amber heard and we need to stand with her through this. every account anyone has of her itâs that she is a kind and genuine person; Â she deserves better. Â
i stand with amber heard.Â
And if anyone tries to tell you that this is somehow some falsified made up story, remind them how infrequently domestic abuse accusations are fake. Remind them that two extremely high-profile people are involved and that Amber Heard is risking her entire career and putting her ass on the line so that she can stand up to her abuser.Â
If they say âwell, heâs never done anything like this before,â remind them that nobody believed Bill Cosby had for his entire beloved life and career, either.Â
I stand with Amber Heard.
